Chapter 655 Anxious and Restless

The man in black put away his gun, kicked one of the people, found he was still moving, and gave him another shot.

Then, he walked up to Ava.

Ava was so frightened that she kept moving backwards. "What do you want?"

The man slowly squatted down and said, "I'm out of time today, or I would have skinned them."

Ava tried to get up from the ground, trying to escape, but the man grabbed her wrist. "Didn't I tell you? Don't move. When I kill, I don't care about gender."

The brim of the man's hat was pressed so low that Ava couldn't see his eyes, and he never took off the mask on his face.

"What do you want? If you want money..."

"Hahaha, money?" The man in black pinched her face. "You really that scared?"

"Of course," she admitted. In this situation, it was impossible for her not to be scared.

"You're very honest. But, since you're so afraid of me, why did you remind me to be careful? Why didn't you remind those kidnappers?"

"Because I knew that if I fell into their hands, I would be definitely dead," Ava answered honestly.

"So you think you'll be fine in my hands?" the man asked.

Ava nervously said, "I don't know."

She had no idea who this man was at all and she couldn't assume that he was a good person in this situation.

At the very least, this man must be a psychopath; otherwise, he would have just killed those kidnappers directly and wouldn't play those cruel games first.

The man suddenly stood up and reached out to pick Ava up.

"Where are you taking me? What do you want?" Ava's heart was pounding intensely.

"Be quiet; don't get me angry, and don't forget how those people just died."

The man's calm voice carried a hint of threat and cruelty.

Out of the corner of her eye, Ava caught sight of the bloody bodies on the ground. She was so frightened that she closed her eyes and dared not speak.

A few minutes later, a group of armed men surrounded the crumbling building.

Brandon and William had just arrived with their team; they had finally found the place where Ava had been in captivity.

Suddenly, a line of black bulletproof vehicles sped towards them.

The car doors opened, and people clad in bulletproof vests got out one by one, weapons in hand, forming a circle. An immediate standoff ensued between the two parties.

Brandon frowned. "Who are you?"

At this moment, a man walked out from the crowd. It was Alexander, his brow furrowed and his gaze cold.

"It's you." Seeing him, Brandon let down his guard. It seemed that with such a large formation, Alexander was here to rescue Ava.

William's expression turned sour the moment he saw Alexander."Why are you here?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm here to save Ava." Alexander glanced around at the people. "Are we going to waste time here? Ava is still being held by them."

Brandon commanded, "Squads, gear up."

At this moment, the situation was urgent. Ava was still in the hands of the kidnappers. Since they were all here to rescue her, they had no time to think too much. They had to let go of personal grudges for now and save her first.

The snipers were in position, and everyone was waiting for the command.

The building was very quiet, with a cold wind blowing through it. It was desolate and bleak, and the air seemed to be filled with the smell of blood.

"Uncle, it's not right. Why hasn't anyone come out from inside?"

'Could Ava have already been harmed?' William was consumed with anxiety, and every second felt like tormenting inferno for him.
