Chapter 1275 Protect Him Well
So he immediately said to the people in the meeting room, "If there's anything else, we'll discuss it next time. The meeting is adjourned."
William straightened his suit and left the meeting room, then headed to the company entrance with a few bodyguards.
Bishop was standing at the entrance holding Sunny, waiting. William approached aggressively, "Bishop, what are you trying to do?"
Bishop immediately handed Sunny to William, "Take good care of him, don't let any strangers get close. If you care about Ava, you must protect her child."
William frowned, looking at him in confusion, "What are you doing? Where's Ava?"
"She's in trouble, Eason caught her. I have to go find her, and you should use all your resources to find her too."
Then, Bishop took a USB drive out of his pocket, "Ava installed surveillance at home. This is a copy of the video. You can take a look. I'm going to find her now."
After saying that, Bishop turned to leave.
"Stop right there, explain yourself!"
William hadn't had time to process Bishop's sudden words.
Bishop had already gotten into a car and driven away.
William held the USB drive in his hand and looked down at Sunny in his arms.
Immediately, a look of worry appeared on his face. He then carried Sunny back into the company.
When Ava opened her eyes, it was already dark.
Her head hurt, and she struggled to get up, finding herself in a room, lying on a bed.
She stumbled off the bed and went to the window to look outside. The light at the door was still on, but the dim light made it hard to see what was ahead.
"You're awake." Eason walked in with some food, "Hurry and eat something, you must be starving."
Seeing Eason, Ava's face turned pale, and she immediately leaned against the windowsill, her eyes filled with fear, "Where is this place?"
"This is where I live. No, it's our home now. You'll be living here from now on."
"Are we still in the country?"
"Of course," Eason said, "I really want to take you abroad, but there are still many things to do here. We can't leave so soon. Once I finish everything here, I'll take you abroad, and we'll live a life just the two of us."
Eason's innocent demeanor made it seem like they were really a loving couple.
He placed the tray full of food on the table. "Come on, you need to eat. They say women need to take good care of their bodies after giving birth, eat nutritious food, and get healthy. But you're too thin, you don't look like you've had a baby at all. Come on, let me help you get healthy."
"How is my child?"
"You mean Sunny," Eason said, "Why are you worried about him now? Why didn't you bring him along? It was your choice to leave him behind."
Ava closed her eyes in pain.
"Oh, right," Eason seemed to remember something, "The police called you today. Ava, why did the police come looking for you so soon after we left?"
Cold sweat rolled down Ava's forehead. "You answered the police call?"
"Yes, the police said your home has an alarm system connected to the station. It's so strange. Why did the alarm go off right after we left? Did you press the alarm button when I wasn't looking?"
Ava was too scared to speak.
Eason walked up and said, "Ava, that wasn't right. Why didn't you tell me about the alarm system at home? I didn't know about it, but luckily I was prepared and called the police back."
"What did you tell the police?" Normally, the police would need to speak to the person involved to confirm they were safe. How did Eason convince them?
