Chapter 312 Uninvited Guest
“I uh...” Ava scratched her nose uncomfortably. “Dad, what are you doing here?”
Is this George’s house? What does it mean with the lipstick on his chin and the scratches on his neck? He wouldn’t be here with another woman, would he?
Just as Ava was pondering this, a voice came from the room, “George, who’s there?”
Ava felt shocked.
Isn’t that Mia’s voice?
George turned his head and said, “It’s Ava.”
Ava heard footsteps in a few moments.
Then, she saw Mia with her long hair down, wearing a silver silk pajama, belting her belt while walking towards them.
Ava felt shocked as she clearly saw the seductive look in Mia’s eyes and the visible kiss marks on her neck. She instantly understood.
However, she couldn’t believe that the two of them...
She thought Mia hated George’s guts. They had been separated for many years, but she never thought...
Ava didn’t dare to think about the details because the images were already forming in her mind.
Compared to Ava’s shock, Mia looked very calm, as if she weren’t afraid of being caught. But in reality, there was nothing to fear since they were a legitimate couple.
George didn’t hide it either, but his gaze showed some annoyance as if he was bothered by the interruption.
Until a lazy woman’s voice snapped Ava back to reality from her daze, “What are you here for?”
“I...I came to see you and chat with you by the way.”
“Is that so?” Mia lazily walked forward, tilting her body against the door frame. “What do you want to chat with me about? Your grandmother sent you here, right?”
Mia was very smart and guessed it right away. Ava didn’t hide it either and nodded, “Yes, and she gave me the address. I thought it was you alone, but I didn’t expect Dad was here too.”
Mia turned her head and glanced lightly at George.
Ava quickly said, “Mom, Dad. Since you’re busy, I’ll leave first. I’ll come next time.”
Ava was about to turn around when Mia stopped her, “Wait a moment.”
Ava turned her head, “Anything else, Mom?”
Mia glanced at George again and coldly said, “You can leave now.”
George was stunned. He thought Ava was the one who should leave, but he didn’t expect his wife to ask him to leave suddenly.
“Mia, why am I leaving?” He didn’t understand. Shouldn’t Ava be the one to leave so they could continue?
“Why are you staring at me?” Mia urged, “Hurry up, go change your clothes and leave. Take all your things. Not even a strand of hair should remain. If I find anything left behind, don’t come back next time.”
Mia said in a brusque tone and paid no attention to Ava, who was still there.
Ava felt awkward and didn’t know how to avoid the suffocating scene.
George’s face was extremely unpleasant, alternating between pale and green. But he didn’t dare to say anything. While others were choked with silent fury, he didn’t even dare to be angry.
Unwillingly, he glanced at Ava with grievances as if she had ruined his good fortune.
Although Ava didn’t look at George, she knew how uncomfortable he felt. She shivered.
George turned around and walked into the room. Mia beckoned to Ava with her finger, “Come in.”
