Chapter 823 He Hates Him

A woman's scream came from inside the delivery room.

"Take a deep breath! The baby will be out soon, keep going!"

Ava was in excruciating pain, feeling as if her ribs were being deeply fractured.

She kept her eyes tightly shut, her face pale and contorted, her forehead covered in sweat.

"Ava." William insisted on staying by her side; he couldn't let Ava face this alone.

Ava held William's hand so tightly and with such force that William's fingers hurt from her squeezing them, but he endured it.

Because this small pain was nothing compared to the pain Ava was experiencing in childbirth.

Ava opened her mouth wide, gasping for air.

The doctor kept encouraging her.

However, the baby's head was stuck and needed assistance with tools.

Ava almost fainted from the pain.

"Ava, the baby is almost out, just hold on a little longer."

Ava turned her head, her vision becoming blurry, her whole brain was all disorganized, unable to clearly see the man in front of her.

Suddenly, Ava started crying, "Alexander, where are you?"

Hearing Alexander's name, William's originally pained expression froze.

He looked at Ava, speechless for a moment until Ava screamed again.

William tightened his grip on her hand and said, "I'm here."

No matter who Ava thought he was at this moment, as long as it made her feel better, it didn't matter. Everything could be discussed after the baby was born.

Seeing Ava in such pain, he couldn't bring himself to blame her. He only blamed Alexander.

"Alexander!" Ava cried out his name while sobbing, "I'm in so much pain, Alexander."

William closed his eyes in pain and kissed her fingers, "Ava, you've suffered hard."

If he could, he would bear this pain for Ava.

Ava was calling out Alexander's name while giving birth, but he didn't deserve to be mentioned.

Clearly, it was William who had always been by her side, yet she was still thinking of Alexander!

How could William not hate him?

He wished Alexander would die!

The baby's cries filled the delivery room, loud and strong.

The doctor cleaned the baby, wrapped him up, and placed him next to Ava.

The doctor said, "Congratulations, it's a boy."

Ava was barely conscious, but she was still murmuring, "My baby..."

When she saw a baby placed in her arms, Ava seemed to wake up a bit..

She lifted her trembling hand, gently stroking the baby's tiny face, and suddenly burst into tears, overwhelmed with joy. "My baby."

"Alexander, this is our baby, look at him."

Ava turned to look at William.

Seeing William's dark and silent expression, Ava asked in confusion, "Alexander, what's wrong? Aren't you happy? This is your son, don't you..."

Suddenly, Ava's body started convulsing.

"Ava! What happened?" William was frantic.

The doctor came over, took the baby from Ava's arms, and said to William, "The mother is having a seizure, please step outside."

The medical staff ushered William out.

The door closed heavily.

William paced back and forth anxiously.

He prayed, "Ava, please be okay."

'Alexander, it's all his fault. If it weren't for him, Ava wouldn't be in trouble!'

Several hours later, Ava opened her eyes. She saw Alexander by her side. Tears the size of beans instantly rolled down her cheeks!

She opened her mouth, her voice hoarse, "Alexander, why are you here?"

Alexander sat by the bed, raised his hand, and gently stroked her face, his eyes filled with pain. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Ava said, "I'm sorry, Alexander, I thought you wouldn't want this baby, so I didn't dare to say anything."

Alexander said, "Ava, I should be the one apologizing for making you suffer. Don't worry, I will never leave you again, we will never be apart."

Alexander bent down and kissed her lips, extremely gentle, holding her lightly.

Hearing this, Ava suddenly opened her eyes, waking up abruptly.

"Ava, you're finally awake."

William had been by Ava's side the whole time. Seeing her wake up, he was overjoyed, "Do you feel any discomfort?"

Ava saw William by the bed.

Her eyes widened as she stared at the ceiling, returning to reality.

It turned out she had been dreaming; she thought she had really seen Alexander.

Maybe it was because she had just given birth, so she started having unrealistic dreams again.

Clearly, she and Alexander were impossible; how could they still be a family?

Seeing Ava in a daze, William was very worried, "Ava, what's wrong?"

Ava's throat hurt. She turned her head, her moist eyes filled with sadness as she looked at William. "William."

William said, "I'm here, you can tell me anything, I will always be by your side."

She finally called his name.

"How is my baby?" Ava asked.

"Your baby is fine." William gently wiped away her tears.

"I want to see him, can you take me to see my baby?" Ava said, trying to get out of bed.

"No." William gently pressed her back. "Ava, you can't get out of bed now, you need to rest. I'll bring the baby to you, okay?"

Ava nodded. "Okay."

William tucked her in and left the room.

After a while, William returned with a baby in his arms. He carefully placed the baby on Ava's bed.

Ava held the baby, tears streaming down uncontrollably. "My baby."

After going through so much, she finally gave birth to this baby safely.

She spoke to herself, 'Alexander, this is your son, why don't you want him?'

The baby in the swaddle was very well-behaved, so tiny and pitiful.

His small body moved from time to time.

Maybe because Ava was by his side, the baby slept soundly, filled with a sense of security.

Ava stared at him, wanting to stay at this moment forever.

William said, "Ava, the baby is very healthy, you've been through a lot."

Ava said, "William, thank you for being by my side, thank you."

Having someone by her side during childbirth was a comfort.

"I'm your husband, of course, I will be by your side, it's my responsibility." William gently stroked her long hair. "Ava, you and the baby are my responsibility, I will never leave you."

Ava felt a pang in her nose, and tears fell uncontrollably again.

"Don't cry." William wiped her tears away, "You just gave birth, don't cry. You and the baby are fine, you should be happy."

Ava nodded, "You're right, I should be happy."

She kissed her son's little forehead. "I finally get to see you."

She was immersed in the joy of being a mother.

No matter how hard it was, seeing her baby made everything worth it.

"By the way, William," Ava suddenly said, "Have you thought of a name for the baby?"
