Chapter 1175 Life in Chaos

Madison took Emily to the hospital and had the doctor give her a thorough examination.

As Madison had expected, Emily had severe gynecological inflammation due to her chaotic personal life.

Madison was worried about getting infected from sharing a bed with her, so she got herself checked as well. Fortunately, she was in good health and just needed to maintain good hygiene.

After bringing Emily home, Madison said, "From today on, you sleep in this room. We shouldn't share a bed anymore. Take these medications on time and go to the hospital for regular check-ups."

"Why are you so worked up? It's not a big deal," Emily said nonchalantly. "Every woman has some gynecological issues."

Madison threw the lab report next to Emily. "Look at your condition. How many women are as bad as you? Stop making excuses and take your medicine. And don't mess around with men anymore."

Emily, who seemed to have no self-respect, would sleep with any man and ended up with a bunch of diseases. Yet, she had the nerve to insult other women all the time.

Emily rolled her eyes impatiently but obediently took the medicine. She didn't want to offend Madison; she needed to stay on her good side to enjoy a good life and share Alexander. She couldn't afford to fall out with her now, especially since they both had crimes on their backs.

A few days later.

Mia and George walked out of the courthouse.

They had successfully divorced. Mia didn't want anything and left with nothing, even though George insisted on giving her something.

After completing the divorce procedures, Mia finally breathed a sigh of relief.

She felt no attachment or hatred.

The past was the past.

George, on the other hand, was heartbroken.

"Mia, can we still be friends after the divorce?"

"No, I don't want to be friends with you," Mia said. "Let's try to see each other as little as possible, maybe only during annual memorial visits."

"Do we really have to go that far? Mia, I..."

"Don't say anything more," Mia interrupted him. "Even though we're divorced, we're still Alexander's parents. That will never change. I have to go now."

George held back his pain. "Can we at least have lunch together? Just one last time after the divorce."

"No, we've had plenty of meals together. One more won't make a difference. Stop doing these pointless things." Mia walked a short distance and got into a black bulletproof car.

As the driver opened the rear door for Mia, George clearly saw Brandon sitting in the back seat.

George's eyes turned red. As the door closed and the bulletproof car quickly drove away, George painfully closed his eyes.

He took out his phone and, with trembling hands, dialed a number.

"Eason, can you join me for lunch?"

Inside the car, Mia's expression was cold.

Brandon put his arm around her shoulder. "You're finally divorced. You can relax now. You're free to do whatever you want."

Just as he was about to kiss her, Mia put her hand over his mouth. "Please stop at the next intersection and let me out."

"Do you have something to do? Or do you want to buy something?" Brandon asked.

Mia suddenly fell silent.

Seeing her expression, Brandon felt uneasy. "What's wrong? Are you feeling down because of the divorce? I understand; after all, you were married for so many years. I can stay with you. Where do you want to go?"
