Chapter 478 Unexpected Situation

Although William told her he loved her, it was just something she dreamt of recently, not real.
However, as long as he could wake up, even if he truly loved her, she was willing to do anything for him.

Vicky heard crying and immediately knocked on the door from outside. "Ava, what's wrong?"

Ava wiped away the tears on her face and sat up from the bed. "I'm fine."

She got out of bed and opened the door. Vicky saw Ava's haggard face, and she felt very worried.

"Ava, are you crying again?"

There were still traces of tears on her face.

Ava said, "It's okay. I had a nightmare."

Vicky sighed softly. "Do you want to sleep a little longer?"

Ava shook her head lightly. "No, it's already bright outside. I should get up."

Vicky nodded. "Then you freshen up. I'll go make breakfast."

"Let me do it," Ava said.

Vicky replied, "Don't bother. I'm already doing it. You should freshen up first."

Ava nodded and walked into the bathroom.

When she came out, she saw Vicky earnestly preparing breakfast in the open kitchen.

There were eggs and vegetables in the toast, along with oatmeal.

Ava stared at the breakfast in front of her. She actually had no appetite.

"What's wrong, Ava? Don't you like it?"

Ava shook her head. "No, I just..."

"You may be concerned about William, but it's also important to have breakfast. Even if your appetite is lacking, have a bite or two. Remember, you are pregnant now."

Ava nodded. She still had her child in her belly to feed. No matter how unwilling she was to eat, she had to eat for the sake of the child.

Just as she finished the oatmeal, she received a call from the hospital.

The doctor informed her that William had encountered an unexpected situation and was taken into the operating room.

Ava was shocked and immediately rushed to the hospital with Vicky.

When they arrived at the hospital, William was in surgery.

Brandon was waiting outside the operating room.

"Uncle, how is William?" Vicky asked anxiously.

Brandon replied, "He is in surgery. We have to wait for the doctor to give us more details."

Ava almost couldn't stand, but Vicky supported her in time and helped her sit down on a chair.

Brandon looked at Ava with a complex expression. He walked up and said, "The doctors performing the surgery are experts I brought in. They thoroughly studied William's case yesterday, so don't worry too much for now. Maybe..."

"Don't comfort me anymore," Ava interrupted him, "I don't want to hear hopeful words. I'm afraid I will despair. Please stop talking to me."

Ava covered her ears, lowered her head, and cried in pain.

Brandon was a bit at a loss, as someone like him hadn't experienced such emotions for a long time. No matter what happened, he would always face it calmly. However, now, he seemed a bit flustered.

Vicky gently patted Ava's back. "Okay, we won't say anything more. Let's wait quietly and pray for William."

Just then, another voice came. "How is William?" Everyone turned their heads and saw Dalton and Hailey approaching.

They had been in a secluded place with no phone signal, so Brandon had sent someone directly to inform them in person.

Upon hearing the news, they rushed back overnight without much delay.

"Mom, Dad." Vicky saw them return and quickly stood up. "William is now..."

She didn't know how to continue.

Brandon stepped forward. "Come with me. I'll explain to you."

He led the couple to another place and briefed them on the situation.
