Chapter 714 So Scary
William kept his cool, like he'd already made up his mind.
"William, thanks a lot," Eason said, grinning. "I was worried you wouldn't go for it. This is awesome, now I have a brother. Love ya."
Eason's eyes sparkled as he shook William's arm excitedly.
William chuckled. "Don't act like a girl."
"What's wrong with girls?" Eason shot back. "Girls are awesome. Ava's a girl too."
William just shook his head. "Alright, alright, do whatever you want."
'Keep pretending. One day I'll expose you!' William thought to himself.
They continued with the dinner.
Ava had been a bit worried that William didn't like Eason, but since he seemed fine with it, she relaxed and chatted more with Eason.
William felt like a background character, just watching them.
Eason had a bit of sauce on his mouth, and Ava reached out to wipe it off. "Look at you, like a little kid."
"In front of Ava, I am a little kid. Ava, let me wipe your mouth too."
Eason grabbed a napkin and wiped the corner of Ava's mouth.
William's eyes burned with anger.
He even had the urge to kill Eason immediately.
With a loud clatter, his utensils hit the floor.
He held his temple and bent over.
Ava noticed and quickly asked, "William, what's wrong?"
William held his temple. "I'm fine."
Then he weakly fell to the side.
Ava jumped up to support him. "William, are you too tired? Didn't sleep well last night? Why don't you rest for a bit?"
"I'm fine. Ava, sit down, don't stand." William stood up and helped Ava sit down.
They were very close, almost intimate.
Suddenly, Eason let out a yelp.
Ava turned her head. "Eason, what's wrong?"
Eason's eyes were red, filled with tears. "I bit my tongue, and it hurts so much."
"You bit your tongue?" Ava quickly said, "Let me see. Is it bleeding?"
"Ava, look."
Eason carefully stuck out his tongue.
Ava leaned in close. "It's okay. You're not bleeding. Don't worry."
"Oh no." William held his temple and fell to the ground. "My head hurts so much."
"William." Ava quickly went to support him. "What's wrong with you?"
"Ava, my tongue hurts so much."
Eason started to look pitiful.
Ava was helpless.
She looked at the two men and immediately understood something.
Ava helped William up and let him sit on the bed. "William, lie down here."
"No need, Ava, I'm fine."
"Lie down." Ava was stern, her eyes showing undeniable authority.
William was inexplicably afraid of her, so he didn't say anything and obediently lay down.
Ava covered him with a blanket.
Then, Ava turned to Eason. "Eason, come here."
"Ava, what's wrong?"
Eason walked over.
Ava suddenly grabbed him and pushed him onto the bed. "You lie down too."
"No need, Ava, I'm fine. It's just my tongue..."
"Lie down." Ava's tone was even sterner.
Eason was startled, looking pitiful, and then lay down, not daring to disobey Ava.
'Ava is so fierce. I'm so scared,' Eason thought.
