Chapter 327 Ava Did It for Him

All the handwriting in the notebook was hers. She looked at so much information, wrote so many notes, and didn't sleep all night. He guessed she must be exhausted.

Mia walked in. "Your ex-wife is quite capable, huh? She finished reading so much information."

Alexander put down Ava's notes.

It seemed that Ava had found the problem with this company, and she really did it. Moreover, she found the problem from these perfect data.

Even if these materials were given to professionals from the Securities and Exchange Commission, they might not be able to spot the issue.

Suddenly, Alexander remembered something.

He immediately took out his phone and dialed a number. "Hello."

"Are we supposed to negotiate cooperation with Wisdom Future Group this afternoon?"

"Tell Mr. Miller not to give an immediate answer. Give them the result later."

After Alexander hung up the phone, Mia smiled. "It seems like Ava unintentionally helped you a lot."

Alexander closed the notebook and put it back in its place. "She wanted to see all this information herself? Why?"

"How would I know?" Mia said, "Maybe because she has a finance background and wants to learn more."

"Even if she wants to learn more, there's no need to stay up all night, and it's obvious that she is recording all this to find problems with this company. There must be a purpose behind what she's doing."

"Yeah, so what is her purpose? Do you, as her ex-husband, know?" Mia asked.

"I don't know. Do you?"

Mia shrugged. "If you don't know, how would I know? Ava didn't tell me either. I asked her, but she clearly didn't want to say."

"She doesn't want to say?" Alexander was full of doubt.

Both of them fell silent.

Ava's intentions were finally revealed. She stayed up all night, reviewing the materials, calculating formulas, analyzing results, and finding problems. What was it all for?

Suddenly, both of them looked up and locked eyes with each other. It seemed like they had discovered something.

Mia spoke first, "You just called Mr. Miller and asked him not to agree to cooperate with Wisdom Future Group on the spot because you saw issues with them."

Mia picked up Ava's notebook and waved it in front of Alexander's face. "Isn't this her purpose? Does Ava know about your plans to negotiate with Wisdom Future Group?"

Alexander thought for a moment. "She studied finance, so she often proactively learns about the company or asks me questions. I also provide her with a lot of information since she is a part of the Mitchell family. It wouldn't be surprising if she knew about this."

Mia said, "I understand now. It's definitely because she found out about your plans with Wisdom Future Group, and when she heard me say that I didn't get the loan from them, she started to have doubts. She wanted to investigate the situation of Wisdom Future Group for you."

Alexander's body tensed up as if struck by something. He suddenly felt weak all over. He sat down in a chair, resting his elbows on the table, and stared at the notebook on the desk. He flipped it open again and saw the gentle handwriting on the pages, which made him smile.

He hadn't expected Ava to do something like this for him without even telling him. If he hadn't discovered it, she would have silently done it for him.

Knowing this fact, Alexander didn't blame her for her harsh tone during their phone conversation today. It turned out that she wasn't impatient; she was just worried about him and wanted to finish things as soon as possible.
