Chapter 947 Remember the Name

It had to be Ava, no doubt about it!

'Who the heck is that guy? What did he do to Ava?' Alexander thought, his mind racing.

In his eyes, it was definitely Vincent who brought Ava here.

Who knew what kind of hell she had been through?

The more he thought about it, the more freaked out he got.

His guy was scoping out the place.

This house was a fortress, guards everywhere.

Suddenly, the screen showed Vincent shoving Ava onto the couch.

Rage boiled up inside Alexander, thinking Ava was in danger.

He couldn't wait any longer and barked at his men, "Blow the lock, now!"

On the couch, Vincent got up.

"Sorry," he mumbled.

"It's okay, just be careful," Ava replied.

Vincent had tripped and fallen onto the couch, dragging Ava down with him.

Once he sat up, Ava said, "Let me check your wound."

She gently started to take off his shirt and was about to undo the bandage.

Out of nowhere, Vincent's face tensed up, sensing danger. In a flash, he grabbed Ava and pushed her down onto the couch.

Ava screamed, startled by Vincent's sudden move. She tried to push him away, but then a loud explosion rocked the room.

The door blew apart, sending dust and debris flying everywhere.

Shrapnel flew through the air, some hitting Vincent.

Vincent shielded Ava with his body, protecting her, his eyes sharp and focused.

Ava was stunned, "What happened? Is it your enemy?"

If it was, they were in deep trouble. Vincent was hurt and might not be able to fight them off.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you," Vincent said, his voice strong and reassuring.

He had lost Christina and couldn't protect her. This time, he wouldn't fail Ava.

After the door blew open, a bunch of armed men in black stormed in, calling out, "Don't move! Hands up!"

Vincent grabbed the car keys from the couch, put them in Ava's hand, and whispered, "I'll hold them off. You run, start the car, and get out of here. Don't look back, no matter what."

Ava looked at Vincent's determined face, trembling. He seemed ready to die for her.

A stranger willing to risk his life for her would touch anyone deeply.

"Vincent, let's get out of here together. You can't die here," Ava said, her voice breaking, tears streaming down her face.

"Ava, I have another name. It's Bishop Brown. If I die, remember that name. When you think of me, think of that name. And my sister's name is Christina Brown. Please remember," Vincent said, getting up.

A group of men surrounded him, guns aimed at him.

"Ava, are you okay?" a familiar voice called out.

Ava, dazed, got up, her eyes following the voice.

She saw Alexander pushing through the men in black, coming towards her, his eyes full of worry.
