Chapter 504 Feeling No Shame

Ava said coldly, "Do you fail to comprehend what I mean? It appears that your intellect is experiencing a lapse." The elevator doors opened quickly again, and Alexander grabbed her, pulling her out directly. Ava struggled desperately. "Let go of me! Alexander, what do you want to do?"

Ignoring Ava's resistance, he forcefully took her to an empty hospital room, locked the door, and pressed her against the wall, his eyes almost spitting fire. "Ava, I'll give you a chance to take back what you just said!"

"What did I say?" Ava coldly smiled, "Are you referring to what I just said about Isabella's heart? Are you so angry because I mentioned something you care about?"

Alexander clenched his fists and fiercely smashed the wall next to her. Ava was very scared, but more than fear, she was filled with anger. If Alexander had really done this, then he was truly terrifying.

With raging anger, Alexander's chest heaved violently with rapid breaths. He glared at Ava, gritting his teeth. "You misunderstood me because William got injured, but now you actually think I'm going around killing people to get a heart for Isabella!"

How could she have such a vile thought? When did she begin to perceive him as being so malevolent? How could she look at him like this?

Every word she said felt like sharp knives cutting his heart into pieces.

"I didn't say that." Ava avoided his gaze. She was afraid that if she faced his eyes, she would hesitate again, unable to stop herself from thinking that this had nothing to do with him.

She really didn't know if it was Alexander who did it, but everything was too coincidental, forcing her to consider this possibility.

"Is this what you mean? How could you think of me like this? Have I become a murderer in your eyes?"

Alexander felt wronged and angry.

People always said that if you didn't do something, why cared about what others said?

However, when it actually fell to him, he cared a lot. Being wrongly accused of something he didn't do, how could his heart feel at ease? In particular, the one accusing him was the person he cared about the most.

Even if he did it, he wouldn't feel this bad, because at least no one would falsely accuse him. But now he felt despair.

"Alexander, does what I think really matter to you? If it were really you, you would pay the price. If it weren't for you, then nothing would have happened. My point of view isn't important at all."

"How can you easily say these cruel words and then act indifferent, as if I'm overreacting? Do you think your words couldn't hurt me? Yes, in your eyes, I'm already a murderer. So, you think I'm cold-hearted, cruel, and feeling indifferent towards anything!"

Seeing Alexander being angry and sad, Ava felt a mix of complex emotions surging within her, almost making it hard for her to breathe.

She had a feeling that she had misunderstood him, her casual guesses causing him great harm.

However, she really didn't know the truth. Moreover, she had only kept these thoughts to herself, not telling anyone.

"I really don't know if it was you." Ava clenched her fists. "It is just my speculation. I won't tell anyone. If it's not you, then I hope you have a clear conscience."
