Chapter 59 Childish Man
She had explicitly reminded herself not to lose her cool, but the circumstances were far from ordinary.
How could she possibly maintain her composure with him around?
The sight of Ava's trembling clenched fist was like a wake-up call for Alexander. It was as if he had been doused with a bucket of cold water, a chilling reminder that she was still unwell. He quickly reached out, grasping her hand in his, "I'm sorry; I'll stop. Please don't be angry."
This abrupt apology from Alexander left Ava momentarily stunned. His sudden change in demeanor did seem to have a calming effect on her. Her clenched fist, which was shaking with pent-up frustration, gradually relaxed.
Ava saw Amelia hovering at the door, so she said, "Amelia, come here."
Amelia walked in.
To be honest, she was a bit afraid of Alexander. This man had an oppressing aura. Wherever he went, it was as if the Grim Reaper had swept past.
Being a small fry, she naturally felt like she could be crushed by this powerful and influential man.
However, after thinking of her good friend being tormented by him, Amelia became angry. So, she straightened her back and gave him a cold glance.
Amelia came to Ava's side, leaned down, and whispered in her ear, "I've taken care of the stuff on your car seat. It's all clean."
Ava gave her a grateful look, "Thank you."
When she drove here, there was blood all over her seat. She asked Amelia to help her clean it up to prevent it from being discovered.
Alexander frowned; he was somewhat displeased, "What are you whispering about? Can't I hear?"
Thank goodness Amelia was a woman. If a big man were whispering in his wife's ear, he would definitely not let it go.
"No, you can't." Ava retorted unhappily, "It's girl talk. Why does a big man like you need to listen to this?"
Alexander felt frustrated but couldn't argue back. He could only sulk.
"Hey." Alexander looked at Amelia coldly, "You can go now. I'm here."
Amelia was somewhat dissatisfied with Alexander's attitude, but she didn't dare to argue when she met his cold gaze. She could only keep it to herself.
However, her good friend Ava stood up for her.
"Alexander, you can't talk to my friend like that. She was sleeping at home late at night and rushed over when she got my call. If you talk to her like this, you're basically bullying me!"
"I..."
Alexander was frustrated. Ava was polite and gentle to everyone.
But he wasn't like that. He was only gentle to those he cared about.
"Alexander, you need to apologize to Amelia, or you can leave now."
Ava's tone was stern, like a parent reprimanding their impolite child.
Alexander, the CEO of the SK Group, a man of wealth and power, was actually being controlled by a woman.
With someone backing her up, Amelia felt triumphant, "Oh Ava, let it go. How could Mr. Mitchell apologize to a commoner like me? I can't take it."
"If you can't take it, then leave!" Alexander said impatiently.
It was enough for Ava to be sarcastic, but what was Amelia? She was actually playing the same game!
"Alexander, get out; I don't want to see you!" Ava forcefully pulled her hand from his, "Get out!"
She was so mad at this man. If it continued like this, she felt her stomach couldn't take it.
‘Baby, bear with it. Mom will drive Dad away and not let him come over. He's really too much.’ After knowing him for so many years, she didn't know he could be so childish.
‘How could Mom fall in love with such a childish man? You must never be as foolish as Mom in the future.’
