Chapter 433 Just Saying

Dalton said, "Even if I tell you, you won't know. Anyway, it will probably take about half a month to a month. By then, you'll have to handle everything related to the Bennett Family."

It was a good thing for William that his parents could leave for a while. "Alright, I got it. I'll take care of both the company and our family," He replied.

Dalton nodded. "Your mom and I are going on vacation, and there will be no one at home. You and Ava can stay here."

William was concerned that Ava might not be accustomed to living here, then he said, "Dad, since Ava and I are married, I should buy a new house. Therefore, I think..."

"It's not I'm stopping you from buying one," Dalton interrupted. "It's just that your mom and I won't be home for a while. You can stay here temporarily. You can buy your place, and move out after we return. I know you don't want to live with us."

"Well..." William wanted to refuse. However, Ava noticed that Dalton looked displeased. Dalton evidently made a concession that William and Ava don't need to live with him.

Ava gently tugged at William's sleeve and said to Dalton, "Okay, Uncle Bennett, William and I will stay here during your vocation."

Dalton smiled, looking much kinder. " You're still calling me Uncle Bennett. You should call me and Hailey Dad and Mom."

Ava forced a smile. "Dad, Mom."

Dalton nodded in satisfaction, "You are smart, and you can help William a lot. Most importantly, he is happy with you and won't complain that I am too burdensome."

Ava nodded, "I will do my best to help William."

Dalton then turned to his wife. "Hailey, Ava is your daughter-in-law. Don't you have anything to say?"

Hailey wanted to be invisible but was brought into the conversation. She smiled slightly and said, "Ava, I don't know much about you. However, there must be a reason that William adores you. I wish you both happiness."

"Thank you, Mom."

Upon hearing the words "William adores you", Ava's nervous heart raced. Fortunately, they were in a fake marriage.

Between them, there was only friendship.

After lunch, Dalton called William into the study room and talked to him alone for over an hour.

Ava was nervous about what they discussed specifically, fearing that Dalton might make things difficult for William.

When William came out, Ava quickly asked, "William, are you okay?"

"He's fine, of course," Dalton's voice came from behind as he walked out, saying, "He's just got married and very happy for it. What are you afraid of? Would I make things difficult for him?"

Ava awkwardly smiled, "I didn't mean that."

"Alright, I know you didn't mean that." Dalton didn't press her. "It's natural to worry about your husband when you just got married. If you weren't worried, it would be strange."

Ava instinctively felt a bit guilty. What she feared most was Dalton's suspicion.

Ava even felt that Dalton might already have some doubts. He pretended not to know anything considering that she and William were really married.

After all, even if he had his son marry Samantha, there would be no genuine feelings between the couple, just interests.

"Alright, let William take you out to buy some jewelry. He's your husband now, so he should show his love for you," Dalton suggested.

Ava smiled. "It's not necessary. I don't care much about those things."

"You may not care, but the Bennett Family does." Dalton pointed out. "You are now the lady of William Bennett. When you venture out, elegance is imperative, ensuring a sufficient flair. Moreover, being newly wedded, there's no harm in having your husband accompany you for a leisurely stroll, indulging in luxury purchases."

Ava found it hard to argue with Dalton.

Even William said, "Ava, let's go. There's nothing else to do this afternoon. I'll take you out to shop and buy things you like."

Ava nodded. "Alright."

Considering Ava's discomfort, William suggested, "Let's bring Vicky along. We can go together."

As soon as William spoke, Vicky ran over. "Great, let's go together. But William, you have to buy me something too."

William shook his head helplessly. "Fine, I'll buy you something."
