Chapter 672 Right on Time

A moment of silence.

"We've been chatting so much that we forgot the main thing. I need to send your husband the address; he must be getting anxious."

The man took out his phone and started operating on the screen.

Ava closed her eyes in despair. She knew he wouldn't let her go; begging him was useless.

After fiddling with his phone for a while, he put it back in his pocket. He suddenly approached Evelyn, tied her up tightly, and then grabbed her and started dragging her outside.

"Where are we going?" Evelyn was frightened.

"Shut up!" the man roared impatiently.

Evelyn instinctively struggled, and the man, losing his patience, struck her hard on the back of her head.

Evelyn felt dizzy and passed out.

He grabbed one of Evelyn's feet and dragged her away across the ground.

Ava didn't know where he was taking Evelyn, and then there was no more sound.

A sudden screech of brakes echoed in the empty surroundings, the friction of the tires raising a cloud of dust.

The car door opened, and Alexander stepped out. In front of him was an abandoned factory, overgrown with weeds.

Thinking of Ava being inside, Alexander's breathing quickened. Just as he was about to go in, another screech of brakes sounded.

Alexander turned his head and saw a sports car stop next to his. The door opened, and someone got out, immediately causing Alexander's expression to change.

William strode over and asked, "Alexander, Why are you here?"

Alexander, with a cold face, said, "Why can't I be here? It's you who agreed to inform each other when the kidnapper calls, but you have kept silent. Are you trying to play the hero and save Ava by yourself?"

William clenched his fists, saying, "Didn't you also not tell me? Otherwise, you wouldn't be here either. Looks like the kidnapper informed you too."

Alexander said, "That's right, luckily he did. He also told me he called you in the middle of the night. With all that time, you didn't inform me. If Ava gets hurt because of this, I'll kill you!"

His last words were filled with seething rage, every word ablaze with fury.

"Kill me?" William seemed to hear a joke. "Alexander, that's what I should be saying to you. She's my wife. If anything happens to her, it's all your fault, and I won't let you off either!"

Alexander rushed forward, grabbed William by the collar, and gritted his teeth. "William, she won't be your wife for much longer."

He would never let Ava stay with such a sinister man.

William's face turned livid. "Alexander, what do you mean?"

"Just what you think I mean!" Alexander released him harshly.

Unable to contain his anger, William lunged at him, ready to throw a punch. Just then, a voice suddenly rang out.

"Aren't you here to save someone? Why are you fighting as soon as you arrive?"

Hearing the voice, they turned their heads, but there was no one around.

Then, the voice sounded again.

"Hello, I'm over here."

Alexander walked towards the voice.

William followed, walking even faster than Alexander. They seemed to be in a race. In the end, he ran all the way, charging towards to the source of the voice.

It was a small speaker, with a tablet next to it.

"You guys are really punctual. So eager to save your wife."

"She's my wife!" William said angrily, "It has nothing to do with Alexander!"
