Chapter 953 Things Don't Go as Planned

"Yes, boss." A few guys stepped up to grab Vincent.

Alexander jumped in, "Ava, let me handle Vincent. I know a hospital where the docs won't call the cops. I'll keep it low-key."

He gave his crew a nod.

And then, chaos erupted.

Both William's and Alexander's men were fighting to save Vincent.

"William, quit messing around. Saving him is what matters. I got the means."

"Alexander. You're underestimating me. I can get him to a safe hospital too. Ava, let me take Vincent."

"Ava, don't trust William. He's shady and will get Vincent killed. Give him to me, I swear I'll save him."

"Ava, give him to me. Don't trust Alexander. Remember what he did to you before?"

Alexander and William were at each other's throats.

Ava felt her head spinning. "Both of you, shut up!"

Time was ticking, and they were still arguing.

Ava looked up, "Alexander, I'll trust you one last time. Get Vincent the best doctor."

Alexander sighed in relief and nodded. He moved to hold Vincent, and his guys carried Vincent out.

Ava followed them.

"Ava," William rushed over, "How could you give him to Alexander? He won't spare him. Vincent will die with him!"

"He almost died because of you," Ava snapped, shaking off his hand. "Stay out of this. Go back. I don't want to talk to you right now."

Ava's mind was a mess. She just wanted to save Vincent. Everything else could wait. She had no time for William.

William watched helplessly as Ava broke free and followed Alexander. He panicked and chased after them. "Ava."

"Don't follow me!" Ava turned and yelled.

Then she got into a black bulletproof car with Alexander.

William stood there, stunned, watching the car drive away.

How did it come to this? How?

William's eyes went blank.

It felt like a punch to the gut.

His lips trembled, his brows furrowed, and he stared in disbelief.

His chest heaved heavily and he couldn't accept it.

He had risked everything to save Ava, ignoring all dangers, yet Ava blamed him!

Who knew Vincent was her so-called savior?

And was Vincent really her savior? How did he save Ava? The details were always fuzzy.

William thought he had it all figured out. Whether it was him or Alexander who found Ava, he believed he would win. He planned to show Alexander what despair felt like.

But he never saw this coming.

In the end, he was the one feeling despair.

He thought, 'Why did Ava choose to trust Alexander at the crucial moment? Why? What went wrong? Didn't Alexander also fire a shot?'
