Chapter 318 Refusing Loan Application

"Okay, I'll give my phone to your mom now; you guys can schedule a time." Ava handed the phone back to Mia.

Mia hadn't come back to her senses yet; she took the phone and put it to her ear.

Alexander said something to her, and Mia nodded. "Okay, I understand."

"That's it then."

"Okay, goodbye."

After hanging up the phone, Mia turned to Ava and said, "I've made an appointment with him. We agreed on a time and place."

Ava breathed a sigh of relief; she had only wanted to give it a try, but she didn't expect it to actually work. "That's good. I just hope you can have a good conversation without arguing. You two have missed out on too much time. You should cherish any time you can spend together. After all, you're mother and son. I know you care about him a lot, and I know he needs you."

Mia felt guilty. "Maybe I really don't know how to be a mother. I've been trapped in my own world. I'm so old, and yet I'm not as good as you, a young person."

Mia let out a sigh.

Ava approached her and gently patted her shoulder. "It's okay, there's still time."

"Can you accompany me when the time comes?" Mia held her hand. "I'll be really nervous going alone."

"Can I go with you? But that's your chance to be alone with him. Will I be a disturbance?"

"No, you won't," Mia said, "He's my son, and if it weren't for you, we probably wouldn't have had a chance to have a one-on-one conversation. Having you there can also prevent any unexpected situations."

Ava thought for a moment, then nodded. "Alright then."

Just then, Mia's phone rang again. She picked it up and answered, "Hello."

"Didn't I tell you earlier? This loan application cannot be approved."

"What are you saying? Send me the documents prepared by Wisdom Future Group."

After a brief conversation, Mia hung up the call.

"Mia, when you mentioned Wisdom Future Group just now, did you mean the one in the country?"

Mia nodded, "Yes."

"Why didn't you approve Wisdom Future Group's loan application? Companies like this, aren't they doing well?"

"It seems good, but the company expanded too quickly, and it's hard to avoid problems. However, I had someone collect some information, and we didn't find any issues, but I still feel something is off."

"Mia, do you still have that information?" Ava asked.

Mia nodded. "Yes. What's up? Do you want to see it?"

Ava replied, "Can I take a look? I remember when I was in school, I came across some financial institutions and heard about a lot of cases involving this company. I also wanted to learn more and see more information."

Mia said, "Follow me."

Ava followed Mia to her home office.

Mia pulled out a box of documents from the cabinet and placed it forcefully on the table.

Ava was stunned.

"Take a look," said Mia.

"Mia, have you read all of these documents?"

"I haven't finished reading them yet." Mia leaned back against the table and said slowly, "I only looked at a few pages and didn't feel like continuing."

"Then why did you say there were no problems?" Ava thought Mia had read through all of them.

"Yeah, I looked at a few pages and didn't see any issues, so I didn't bother to keep reading," Mia said indifferently.
