Chapter 897 Having a Child
He didn't even bother opening the door, just asked through it, "How'd you know I was here?"
"I took a wild guess. Didn't think you'd actually be here. Alexander, spill it, are you and Madison really a thing?"
Alexander glanced at Madison and said coolly, "Yeah, didn't I tell you?"
Ava balled her fists, "Alexander, how can you be so heartless? You ignored everything I said and now you're with someone else. Is this payback?"
Alexander's eyes narrowed, his voice icy, "Heartless? Payback?"
His hands were shoved in his pockets, fists clenched tight, "Isn't it heartless that you're with William? Ava, we're done. If anyone's out for revenge, it's you. You broke my heart and crushed all my hopes."
Ava's voice cracked, "No, Alexander, William and I..."
Just then, Madison walked over and grabbed Alexander's arm. "Ms. Anderson, isn't it a bit late for a visit?"
"None of your business," Ava snapped, "Stay out of it."
Alexander cut in, "It is her business. Madison's my girlfriend and the mother of my kid. This house is hers. If she doesn't want you here, you gotta go."
Ava's jaw dropped, "What did you just say?"
Madison looked surprised too. Alexander held her close, his hand resting on her flat stomach, "Madison's pregnant with my baby."
Ava felt like her world was falling apart, her legs almost giving out.
"She's pregnant?" Ava asked, stunned.
"Yep." Alexander's lips curled into a smirk.
"So, she's the mother of my kid and my future wife. You better treat her right, or you'll regret it!" Alexander warned.
Ava, feeling completely suffocated, took a few steps back.
She suddenly started laughing, "Alexander, you actually want her baby!"
'How could Alexander be so cruel? He slept with Madison and now they have a kid. He wants Madison's baby, but he doesn't want Sunny!' Ava's heart shattered as she thought.
"Why wouldn't I want her baby?" Alexander shot back, "Or do you want me to want your baby? But we don't have a kid together, and even if we did, you'd probably abort it since you're so eager to have William's kid."
Ava caught something in his words and was shocked, "What do you mean by that? Could it be that you..."
Could it be that he didn't know they had a kid together? But she told him last time.
Wait, last time she only told him through the door, and Alexander never responded. Could it be that he wasn't inside at that time?
"What do I mean? Isn't it obvious? What's with your reaction? Like I can't have another woman bear my kid. You should know we're divorced. And you've already had William's kid. Do the math, right after our divorce, you hooked up with William and had a kid." Alexander said calmly.
Every word dripped with sarcasm.
Ava was now certain that Alexander had no clue about their kid. He thought the kid was William's.
"No, it's not like that." Ava rushed forward, "Alexander, the kid..."
"Mrs. Bennett," Madison cut in, "Can you stop clinging to Alexander? He and I are together now. Stop messing with our lives. Go home and be with your husband."
