Chapter 878 Let Him Go

He finally got why Ava picked William.

Ava was knocked up; no way she'd let her baby's daddy get into trouble.

Their hearts were already linked up while he was just there, dreaming, loving her like crazy, ready to die for her.

But Ava's heart was already with another dude.

Her body and her heart were all given to another guy from the start.

Alexander forced a calm smile, "Guess what? I'm still kicking, much to your disappointment. Wanna bet? I ain't dying before you do."

William smirked, "Nah, Alexander, I'm not betting on that. I'm gonna live a long life, grow old with Ava, watch our kid grow up, and spoil our grandkids."

"Yeah, that's what I'm saying too." Alexander stepped closer, the tension between them thick enough to cut with a knife.

"William, you can have Ava. I don't want her anymore. Anyway, I have someone else now. Last time Ava picked you, which made you all smug, but I also thank her for that. It made me see things clearly and led me to the woman I really care about."

With that, Alexander turned to leave.

William's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint in them.

Watching Alexander just let go like it was no big deal, he couldn't accept it. True or not, he wasn't having it.

Alexander deserved a lifetime of pain.

William called out, "Alexander, you're pathetic. The most pathetic guy I've ever seen. Besides talking big, what else can you do? When our kid grows up, I'll make sure he knows his mom once loved a loser."

Alexander's fists clenched, knuckles cracking.

Suddenly, he spun around and lunged at William, landing a punch right on his face.

In the restaurant, Madison sat across from Ava. Not long after Alexander left, Madison showed up, saying she had something to tell Ava.

She just stared at Ava, eyes vacant, like she was lost.

"Ms. Allen, what's up?"

"You and your hubby look great together, and he loves you a lot."

Ava frowned, "So what? What's that got to do with you?"

"I mean, it puts me at ease. I was worried you hated him."

Ava frowned harder, "Hate him? Did he tell you that?"

"He didn't have to." Pain flashed in Madison's eyes, "Ms. Anderson, please, let Alexander go, stop hurting him, okay?"

"Ms. Allen, I don't get what you're saying."

"No, you get it. You know how Alexander got hurt."

Hearing this, Ava felt a pang in her heart.

She avoided Madison's eyes, looking down at Sunny.

"He was seriously hurt. I happened to pass by and saved him, or he'd be dead. He lost a ton of blood," Madison said.

Ava's body started trembling. She looked up, tears filling her eyes. "You saved him?"

"Yeah." Madison said, "He was so cold, I thought he was dead, but he wasn't."
