Chapter 629 Despicable and Insidious

After wiping off the water stains, he placed the napkin on the edge of the table. "That's it. Seeing you angry reminds me of the times you used to throw tantrums. It's really nostalgic. It's been a long time since anyone dared to throw a tantrum at me."

Mia sarcastically said, "You really are a despicable man. Does Hailey know about this?"

"We're in the process of getting a divorce. Currently, we're dealing with the property division, which is taking some time, but I will divorce her."

Mia said seriously, "Dalton, make William divorce Ava."

"No problem," Dalton agreed straightforwardly.

Mia was a bit surprised, seemingly not expecting him to agree so easily, but she knew he wasn't that easy to deal with.

"What are your conditions?" Mia asked.

Dalton said, "My conditions are simple. You divorce George, and after I divorce Hailey, you be with me. And I'll tell you a secret."

Mia suddenly laughed. "Even if I divorce George, it won't be your turn. Dalton, while I have encountered many despicable individuals and cunning deceivers, it is you who truly disgusts me with your treachery and deceit. Is William as insidious as you? Did you two conspire against Ava together?"

Dalton's expression stiffened. "Mia, you can insult me, but sometimes you should watch your words to avoid regret."

"What do I have to regret? Regret insulting William? Did I say anything wrong?" She sneered. "You both are shameless, but I believe he is definitely worse than you."

Dalton remained silent, arms crossed.

Mia stood up with her bag and turned to leave.

"Mia," Dalton called out to her back, "I could only succeed by giving you up back then. If it were you, you would have given me up, too."

Mia stopped, turned her head slightly, and said coldly, "Since you chose success, you should live with your success for the rest of your life. Don't fantasize about the things you've already given up because you don't deserve them."

Mia's figure gradually grew smaller.

Dalton suddenly laughed, his eyes gradually showing a sinister coldness as he muttered to himself, "There's still a long way to go. You'll soon know whether I'm qualified to be with you. I've never failed to get what I want."

Even if it was something he once discarded, as long as he wanted it back, it had to be his!

After getting into the car, Mia angrily pounded the steering wheel.

"Disgusting!" She cursed, then took out her phone from her pocket and dialed Ava's number.

The phone was quickly answered, "Mom, what's up?"

"I'm coming to see you. Where are you now?" Mia questioned.

Ava continued, "I'm at William's place."

"Then I'll go there to find you," Mia replied.

Ava asked, "Is something wrong? How about I come to you? Let's meet somewhere."

Mia said, "No, I also want to see William by the way."

"Mom, why do you want to see him?" Ava confused.

"What's wrong? Can't I see him?" Mia frowned. "Since I am your mom, what's wrong with me seeing my son-in-law? You married him without a word, and now I can't even have lunch with you?"

Hearing Mia's displeased tone, Ava quickly said, "That's not what I meant. I'll send you the location. Come over, and I'll have the housekeeper prepare lunch."

After the call ended, Mia received the location from Ava and immediately drove over.
