Chapter 1011
On the way back, Stella seemed a bit listless.
Alexander glanced at her from time to time.
They passed by the restaurant Stella had been thinking about last time.
She felt very downcast. However, she packed some food for Fiona, Thalassa, and the children.
After getting in the car, Alexander thought for a moment and then comforted her, "If you miss Mason, we can video call him."
Stella looked at Alexander, and her eyes immediately reddened.
"I think Mason is really great!" she choked out.
She knew that if Mason left with her and Alexander, he wouldn't have to live such a hard life at the church. She understood that Mason couldn't bear to leave Liam.
"Yes." Alexander gently stroked Stella's cheek.
She calmed down a bit, and they drove towards the Walker family.
Fiona and Thalassa were also aware of Father Ben's passing.
Fiona had originally planned to go and mourn, but Charles suddenly developed a high fever without any warning. As a child who had once suffered from acute leukemia, the fever symptoms frightened both Fiona and Darwin. Stella didn't let her go.
When she arrived in North Alabama, she headed straight to the maternity care center.
Fiona and the others were there.
"I brought hot food!" Stella hurriedly took out the food as she entered, then quickly washed her hands and rushed to the crib.
Nora had just been fed and was sleeping soundly.
"In just a few days, she's become even cuter!" Stella carefully picked up Nora.
The baby was so soft, almost as if she had no bones.
Stella's breath even paused, fearing that breathing too hard might harm Nora. When Nora lay softly on her shoulder, her heart melted.
Thalassa was eating the dessert Stella had brought back. "If you love babies so much, hurry up and have one with Mr. Beaumont. Both of you are beautiful, so your baby will definitely be beautiful too!"
Stella smiled and glanced at Alexander, who was unwrapping a package. He had a gentle smile on his lips. "Let's talk about it next year. We still have unfinished honeymoon plans!"
Thalassa felt a bit disappointed. "Yeah, I haven't had my honeymoon yet!"
Thalassa and Kenny's wedding was rushed. After the wedding, she was busy with the design and construction of the company building. Later, she was deeply entangled in the chaos of the Carey family. When everything finally settled down, Darwin's disappearance happened. She hadn't even caught her breath when Nora, in her impatience, came into their lives.
"It's okay." Scarlet carefully watched Stella, afraid she might drop Nora, and took a moment to comfort Thalassa, "Once your body recovers, I'll take care of Nora for two months, and you and Kenny can go on your honeymoon!"
"No way," Thalassa said, looking at Nora, who was still sleeping soundly on Stella's shoulder. "Kenny and Nora aren't very close. If they're separated for two months, their relationship will be worse."
"Kenny is so stubborn!" Scarlet's love for Kenny had completely transferred to Nora, and she complained.
Fiona nestled on the sofa, leaning against Darwin, feeling utterly relaxed as she watched the lively scene.
"Fiona, are you going back to the Bay City tomorrow or the day after?" Scarlet asked, looking at her.
"We were supposed to go back tomorrow, but Brady said he's celebrating his birthday early, so we'll go back the day after," Fiona replied.
Scarlet was speechless.
"Brady's birthday is in winter; he really knows how to celebrate early," she remarked.
"Brady probably can't bear to leave Charles and Chicago," Thalassa said, quite fond of Brady, who was simple and treated her very well.
