Chapter 687 She Has Been Extremely Merciful.
Fiona always acted decisively and efficiently.
Their business in Armie was not an inseparable part of the Astralis family. Its parent company was a locally acquired brand. This small piece was nothing compared to the Astralis family's share in the European markets.
"We, the Astralis family, were not the only ones involved in this matter. The Ross family was the mastermind. Why haven't I seen you go after the Ross family? We even have a billion-dollar project in collaboration!" Robert's father still had that way of thinking.
He couldn't escape it. Then, the Ross family also needed to be dealt with!
"The Ross family's affairs are not your concern. I won't let it slide," Fiona said coldly.
Robert's parents had troubled expressions on their faces.
"What? You’ve been acting like bandits, acquiring national brands from various countries and manipulating them into ruins. Now it's your turn to compromise and give up your own company, but you all look like you've lost everything. It's really interesting," Christopher mocked.
Robert's father glared fiercely at Christopher, who glared back just as fiercely. "I agree to your request," Robert's mother said stiffly. "Can I take my son away now?"
"I've dealt with people like you too many times. Dishonesty is your common problem. You can't take Robert away until all the procedures and fairness are completed. But I can reluctantly soften my heart and let you take a look. But let me clarify beforehand. Robert has been submerged in water for too long, his entire body is swollen, and his face is deformed. You need to be mentally prepared."
Robert's mother's legs weakened for a moment. Fiona didn't want to stay here. She signaled to a certain bodyguard and then got straight into the car. Christopher naturally followed her. Being close to the sea, Christopher worried that the lady's state of mind hadn't yet improved and she might jump into the ocean to commit suicide again. Robert's father looked at the bodyguard, who stayed behind to accompany them to see the body. His lips curled, and he smiled insincerely. "What a ruthless person Chelsea is. She's just as ruthless and merciless as her grandmother, Janna!"
When the bodyguard heard him talking badly about his boss.
The bodyguard retorted in fluent French, "Your family has a serial killer. Why don't you talk about how ruthless he is? In our case, my boss is only seeking rightful compensation. How much is your worthless company worth? Do you know how much Mr. Solomon earns in a year? She has already been extremely merciful, not asking for the entire Astralis family. Why can’t you be grateful? Shame on you!"
Robert's parents were utterly shocked.
"You."
"What?" The bodyguard sneered, "Do you think we have a bad attitude? You can leave now. I don't want to take you to see that disgusting thing!"
Robert's mother almost fainted from anger.
Not sure if Robert was present, they didn't dare to sign any transfer agreement.
There was no choice. Robert's couple could only swallow their pride.
A moment later.
The couple rushed out of the freezer room and squatted by the flower bed, vomiting violently.
"That's not Robert!" Suddenly, Robert's mother couldn't accept it.
Her little son used to be so beautiful.
Countless people complimented him on how he looked like an angel when he was young!
"My boss knew you would make such idiotic remarks, so he said you can at any time cut a piece of meat yourself for a paternity test."
"You!" Robert's father had never suffered such humiliation.
The bodyguards were not afraid.
Mr. Solomon was still at stake because of that idiot inside.
They didn't deserve any good treatment. Not killing them was already a display of exceptional manners!
At this time, Fiona wrapped herself in a cashmere blanket by the sea, looking at the dark sea surface and listening to the sound of the waves.
Christopher followed behind her, saying, "Madam, it's windy. We should go back. Young Master and Young Miss are still waiting for you at home."
"I've searched everywhere," Fiona muttered.
Christopher sighed softly. He couldn't bring himself to say words of condolence.
"Where do you think he's gone?" Fiona said again.
Christopher thought for a moment and difficultly said, "It's possible that he went to a farther place, where someone saved him and didn't know his identity."
Christopher couldn't continue with the lie.
Who didn't know Darwin in the entire Armie?
Moreover, a substantial reward was offered when searching for him.
Fiona didn't speak anymore.
She stood there for a moment.
Fiona turned back to the car and headed to Emerald Pool.
Upon her arrival, the first one to run to her was still Chicago.
Chicago had grown taller, and it became more difficult for Fiona to hold her.
But Fiona still embraced her.
"Mommy, how is work going?" Chicago asked gently. "You look exhausted, and your face is cold."
As Chicago spoke, she pressed her cheek against Fiona's.
Fiona smiled and replied, "It's going well, but I've been slacking off too much lately. When work piles up, I easily get tired. But it will be fine in a while."
Chicago squeezed her shoulder and said, "You should eat first. Grandma Janna cooked a lot of your favorite dishes for dinner, and they're all saved for you!"
Fiona came home late.
Dinner time had already passed.
"Would you accompany me for dinner?" Fiona proposed to Chicago.
"Of course! I love watching Mommy eat!"
Fiona touched Chicago’s nose with hers, saying, "You're so adorable, my daughter!"
After a moment, Charles and Chicago sat across from Fiona.
Chicago kept urging Fiona to eat this and that.
Fiona ate slowly and gracefully.
Fiona asked Chicago about her studies that day.
"Ethan is such a great teacher. I finished learning in half a day, and then Ethan spent the other half playing chess with Grandma Janna and Uncle Dad! They both praised Ethan's intelligence!" Chicago was particularly proud as if she was the one who was praised.
After finishing, Chicago suddenly sat beside Fiona and asked, "Mama, if I get first place in my grade next semester, will you be happy?"
"Of course, but whether you get the first place or not, Mama will be happy as long as Chicago is happy," Fiona replied with a smile.
"I will be first!" Chicago said confidently.
Fiona looked at Charles and said, "Your little sister suddenly became ambitious, huh?"
"Ethan is a great teacher," Charles replied. "Mama, drink the soup. Grandma Janna said the weather has been cold lately, so having more soup is good."
"Thank you, I know."
Fiona took the soup bowl, lowered her eyelids, and drank slowly.
Because of Fiona's unstable emotions, neither Charles nor Chicago felt secure.
With such a big incident happening, Fiona should have provided them with more security as a mother, but instead, they had to comfort her.
‘Oh, Fiona.
‘When will this sadness end?
‘You should control your emotions now.’
