Chapter 683 A Flexible Person
The final speaker was unusually excited. Fiona looked at him. This person had indeed been with Solomon since its establishment. He was a technical staff member. He was honest and truly loved Solomon, but his mind was not very sharp, making it easy for malicious individuals to take advantage of him.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Secretary Woods has already announced to the media that Solomon and the Rhoads family will never merge!" someone said emphatically.
"When did she say that?" the person was taken aback, first glancing at Fiona, then looking at Leonardo, who was sitting across from him.
Leonardo had previously mentioned, during their drink, that once Fiona took over Solomon, she would definitely devour it for the Rhoads family. He even provided many examples of the Rhoads family devouring other businesses.
The person listened in shock and anger.
"She's just saying it, but who can stop her when the time comes?" Tristan immediately interjected.
"Exactly!"
"It's easy to say one thing but do quite another."
"What does Leonardo mean by that?" Fiona only looked at Leonardo, completely ignoring the others.
Leonardo was stunned.
Everyone knew that Fiona was a difficult person.
Why was Fiona so easy to talk to today?
But since Fiona asked, Leonardo couldn't be bothered with those roundabout methods. He said, "Fiona, we don't want to make things difficult for you. It's all for the sake of Solomon. Mr. Solomon originally had a team of managers, so how about we let the team operate according to Mr. Solomon's previous model? You don't have to involve yourself in the company's management, but you will still receive your fair share of the money until Mr. Solomon recovers and returns. How does that sound?"
Leonardo was particularly polite.
Everything Leonardo said was for the benefit of the company.
The others all agreed after listening.
"I think Leonardo's idea is very forward-thinking. It doesn't hinder the company's operation and relieves our worries. Fiona won't receive any less money than she deserves!"
"Yes, Fiona, you already have Monsoon Investment and the Rhoads family to deal with. Leave Solomon to us old people. We promise not to disappoint Mr. Solomon when he returns."
Henry's expression turned extremely ugly.
Henry looked at Fiona with some concern.
Fiona lowered her eyelids and even smiled. "This is indeed a good way for me to relax and worry no more."
Leonardo and the others exchanged glances.
From the beginning, Leonardo had said that as long as they offered Fiona her fair share of the shares, she would probably agree.
With Fiona taking over Darwin's job at Solomon, the current situation was challenging.
It might even bring her a bad reputation.
But it would have been different if Fiona had done nothing but take the money. She could enjoy peace of mind and be free from the blame she might take when handling difficult problems with the operation after Solomon.
If she were smart, after analyzing the pros and cons, she wouldn’t need to struggle with how to choose.
However...
"If everyone in Solomon were as talented as Henry, I would have agreed immediately," Fiona said coldly, then tapped the document in front of her. "Unfortunately, there are too many worms in Solomon. If I were to be a passive boss, by the time Mr. Solomon returns, who knows what Solomon will become."
The people in the meeting room had different expressions.
Leonardo, with his gentle appearance, almost couldn't hold it in.
"Since you have come to me on your own before the shareholders' meeting, let's settle the accounts properly." Fiona's expression suddenly grew solemn as her gaze swept across everyone in the meeting room.
"Fiona, from what standpoint do you want to settle these accounts?" Leonardo's voice also turned cold.
Tristan chimed in. "That's right. You were just the president's secretary for a while in the company six years ago. You're not even considered a Solomon employee now. What right do you have?"
Tristan didn't finish his sentence.
Tristan caught Fiona's icy gaze.
Tristan's cheek immediately felt a burning pain.
"I'm not a Solomon employee, so I can't use Fiona's identity. How about if I use the identity of Solomon's major shareholder?" Fiona's lips curled into a cold smile.
The screen behind her suddenly lit up.
Soon, several documents confirming Solomon's shares appeared on the screen.
"How is this possible!"
Leonardo immediately stood up.
"These shares belong to Mr. Solomon. How could they be in your name? You said Mr. Solomon didn't die!"
These things were given to Fiona by Henry after the incident in Darwin.
Darwin always talked about giving Solomon to her, but Fiona never took it seriously.
However, Darwin secretly took care of it.
However, the external information has not been updated yet.
So Leonardo and the others have no idea at all.
"Take a closer look at the dates!" Henry impatiently reminded them. "These transfer confirmations were signed by Mr. Solomon six months ago!"
The people in the meeting room were all shocked.
Mr. Solomon actually gave Fiona all these shares when he just got married?
Not to mention whether Fiona would become the president and eventually swallow up Solomon.
If Fiona had the intention, she could just sell the shares to the Rhoads family at a low price. As she had a lot of equity in her hands, Solomon could not hold on to it.
Leonardo's face turned pale. In Leonardo's understanding, Darwin, a selfish and self-interested person, would never do such a thing. Darwin was always suspicious of others and trusted no one except himself. However, Darwin's signature and the stamp of a law firm were present on the transfer confirmation. Everything was legal and compliant. The shares now belonged to Fiona.
Leonardo initially thought that today's drama would not go exactly as planned. Still, they would stick to their decision of not letting Fiona interfere with Solomon's operations, firmly believing that Fiona's involvement would result in the Rhoads family taking over Solomon. They were determined on these two points. In the short term, Fiona would not be able to gain a foothold in Solomon.
Leonardo never expected Fiona to have all of Darwin's shares, along with his loyal followers, in her hands. Even if they were to hold a shareholders' meeting and vote, they would not be able to surpass Fiona. "Do you have any more questions, Leonardo?" Fiona looked at him. Leonardo smiled and said, "Mr. Solomon truly loves you, Fiona. He gave you all these shares right after you got married."
Fiona replied, "Yes, he loves me so much. Even though I’m busy with my other two companies, I will do my utmost to protect the company he worked so hard to build."
The previously excited technical shareholder immediately felt ashamed and lowered his head. Leonardo's few words had successfully sowed doubt in his mind. Could the one whom Mr. Solomon, a wise man, had loved for so many years be a bad person? He had truly misjudged the situation.
"Fiona, rest assured, we will fully cooperate with you in the future and protect Solomon together, waiting for Mr. Solomon to recover and return!" Leonardo knew that the situation was against him for now, so he temporarily couldn't do anything to Fiona. Leonardo was also a flexible person and immediately raised his arms to become Fiona's support.
However, Leonardo was attempting to deceive his way out of this. Fiona didn't want to keep this trouble and wait for Leonardo to cause problems again in the future.
