Chapter 796 Divorce Agreement

Mr. Dashwood watched as Darwin walked away.
Mr. Dashwood felt a twinge of joy in his heart because Ms. Dashwood had been taken care of by Solomon, saving him the trouble of getting rid of her.
However, at the same time, he felt uneasy about the look Darwin gave him before leaving.
Mr. Dashwood thought, 'Why did he suddenly mention Eleanor?'

In the activity room.
The woman cried in fear and helplessness.
Her eyes looked towards the door, hoping her husband would return.
However, no one came to the door.
The guard watching over Ms. Dashwood just shook his head.
Regardless of gender, once one loses their life and hope because of emotions or a particular person, what's the difference between living and being a walking corpse?
Mr. Dashwood smoked a few cigarettes at the door.
He called his mistress to share the good news.
About twenty minutes later, a stranger approached with a file in hand.
"Mr. Solomon sent you, right?" Mr. Dashwood extinguished his cigarette and approached with a smile.
The stranger nodded, handed a document to Mr. Dashwood, and said, "This is the procedure for your wife's admission to a mental hospital. Just sign where indicated."
The man glanced at the time.
Mr. Dashwood, being observant, quickly signed his name in the required places without much thought.
"Take a look. Is this okay?" Mr. Dashwood handed back the document.
The man glanced over it, nodded, and said, "Alright, we'll take your wife to the hospital for treatment. Mr. Solomon instructed you to take good care of Eleanor."
"Don't worry, she's my daughter; how could I not take good care of her?" Mr. Dashwood blurted out.
The man nodded, took the document, and left.
Mr. Dashwood glanced back at the activity room.
He had long despised Ms. Dashwood, not even having the intention to look at her.
"You'll stay in the mental hospital for the rest of your life!" Mr. Dashwood said.
After that, he dusted off his pants and left happily!
Normally, the order was to pick up Charles first and then Chicago.
However, today, Darwin was in Chicago's school, so he waited for Chicago to finish school, picked her up, and then went to Charles.
"Dad, Eleanor didn't come to class this afternoon..." Chicago looked worried in the car. "Do you think her mom will hit her again?"
Darwin looked at Chicago, reached out, and patted her head. "Dad doesn't know."
Chicago sighed.
She looked out the window with a melancholy expression.
After picking up Charles, Darwin had just gotten into the car.
Chicago quickly told Charles about what happened that day, frowning and looking very unhappy.
Charles listened, furrowing his brows.
Then he looked at Darwin.
Charles's eyes seemed to ask. "You're not just going to let this go, right?"
Darwin gave him a reassuring look.
Only then did Charles look away.
On the way, Fiona called.
Darwin answered, his face immediately softening.
"Are you off work?"
"I just finished a meeting, heading to the garage. Have you reached home?" Fiona said.
"Almost there," Darwin replied.
Chicago squeezed over.
She leaned on the phone and coquettishly said, "Mommy, I really miss you today!"
Darwin put it on speaker.
Fiona's laughter on the other end was delightful. "Hang in there, sweetheart! Mommy will be home soon!"
"Mm!" Chicago replied, then pushed the phone back to Darwin's ear, "You guys, say something!"
Darwin was speechless.
He turned off the speaker.
He heard Fiona ask, "What happened to the little puppy today? Was she bullied at school?"
Darwin marveled at Fiona's sensitivity to Chicago's emotions.
To him, Chicago had just been acting cute earlier.
"I'll tell you more when you get home," Darwin said gently.
Fiona replied, "I'm in the garage now, and I'll see you at home in a bit."
"Okay." Darwin replied.
Fiona hung up.
"Was Chicago bullied at school?" Laura, seeing Fiona hang up, asked anxiously.
Fiona thought for a moment and shook her head. "She should be fine; otherwise, her dad wouldn't be so calm. Don't worry."
"That's great." Laura breathed a sigh of relief.
"I talked to you about it; think about it carefully. Although Monsoon Investment isn't large, it has some reputation in the industry. If you take on the role of manager, it's a much better future than being my assistant." Fiona said seriously before getting into the car.
Laura pursed her lips. "I'll think about it."
Laura didn't lack money; she just enjoyed working with Fiona.
Fiona patted her shoulder and got into the car.
Darwin wanted to get home earlier with the kids.
Estimating Fiona's return time, he didn't rush home but stayed outside the garage with a child on each side, chatting.
After a while, they saw Fiona's car pulling in.
Chicago jumped up and down, waving her hands high as the car stopped.
When the car stopped, Fiona had just gotten out, Chicago eagerly rushed into her arms.
Fiona struggled to lift her, and Chicago hugged her neck, rubbing her cheek against Fiona's.
Chicago kept saying how much she missed her.
After a while, Chicago realized she was too heavy for her mom to carry easily, so she hummed and landed on the ground, holding Fiona's hand and walking towards the elevator.
Fiona looked back at Darwin and Charles.
She gave a helpless smile and blew a kiss to each of them.
Darwin and Charles both smiled immediately.
After everyone had dinner, Chicago went to do her homework.
Then, Darwin had time to talk to Fiona about what happened during the day.
Fiona was removing her makeup.
She took off her earrings and dropped them on the table.
"What a pair of idiots!" Fiona paused and looked at Darwin. "Did you really send that woman to the mental hospital?"
Darwin got up and brought over the document signed by Mr. Dashwood.
"What's this thick notice of admission?" Fiona took it, weighing it in her hand.
"The admission notice isn't this thick, but a divorce agreement is included." Darwin said casually, "Originally, I didn't want to deal with it, but... Chicago cares a lot about her classmates. On the way back just now, Chicago was worried about her."
Fiona remained silent.
She understood Chicago very well.
Chicago could see adults endure hardship without feeling much, but she couldn't stand to see children suffer.
Fiona silently went through the divorce agreement.
There wasn't much to it.
It mainly involved the husband taking on the debts incurred during the marriage, the house bought by the wife belong to the child they had together.
"With a valuable house in hand, it's indeed a guarantee for the child." Fiona pursed her lips, looking at Darwin. "Whoever, based on what you said about this mother... she seems brainless. If the husband signs and she doesn't, this agreement won't be effective." "
