Chapter 1359

Rose had really changed.

She wasn't just wearing black and white anymore; her outfit today made her look so vibrant, especially with that cheerful smile lighting up her face.

It was like she was a whole new person.

Gone was the Rose who used to get all worked up whenever she saw Fiona.

"Did you come straight to work after getting back?" Fiona asked.

Rose walked over to Fiona, and they started strolling side by side.

"Yeah, I came right after dropping off my luggage. Nothing else to do at home!" Rose said, her excitement showing. "I sold my house in Cyberia during this trip. I'm planning to buy a place in Bay City. Mrs. Solomon, got any good neighborhood recommendations?"

"That's a tough one," Fiona said with a smile, shaking her head. "You should ask Mr. Clark; he's the real estate guru around here."

"Got it!" Rose nodded. "Why are you so late today?"

"I overslept," Fiona said, a bit embarrassed. "Since I ran into you, come with me to the marketing department meeting."

"Can I?" Rose's eyes lit up with surprise.

"Of course, you're my secretary," Fiona replied.

Watching them chat so easily, Christopher felt like he was in a dream.

Fiona used to be so suspicious of Rose.

But that cashmere scarf from the other day, which Christopher had Charlotte test for toxins, turned out to be clean. Charlotte even said the cashmere was top-notch.

The meeting was giving Fiona a headache.

The marketing and planning departments were at each other's throats over some disagreement.

Fiona sat in the middle, her ears ringing from their loud voices.

Just as their argument hit a fever pitch and Fiona was about to lose it, Rose stepped in. "Gentlemen, please calm down. You're both doing this for the good of the company..."

She stood between them, trying to mediate the situation calmly and methodically.

Fiona watched, resting her face on her hand, amazed at this new, gentle Rose.

This trip to Cyberia had really changed her.

Ten minutes later, the two men, who had been ready to tear each other apart, sat back down, visibly calmer.

"How about this? I'll draft a reconciliation plan for you both today. If it works, neither of you will have to worry anymore!" Rose suggested.

Then she seemed to remember something and looked timidly at Fiona. "Mrs. Solomon, is that okay?"

"Of course," Fiona said, raising her hand to signal Rose to continue.

Rose immediately beamed and looked at the two directors for their opinions.

The argument was really just about a work-related mistake that could be blamed on either the marketing or planning department.

They were so heated because it was the end-of-year performance review period, and everyone wanted a promotion. They didn't want this mistake to mess up their chances, so they were trying to pin it on the other side.

Now that Fiona's secretary was willing to take over the issue, they naturally agreed, albeit a bit reluctantly.

"Alright, let's wrap it up," Fiona said, standing up with a look of relief.

When it came to meetings with her subordinates, Fiona dreaded this kind of situation the most. She might accidentally show favoritism.

Leaving the conference room, Fiona glanced at Rose.

"Can you handle it?" she asked.

Rose looked at Fiona, her face flushed, and nodded firmly. "Yes!"

"Resolve this well, and I'll give you a new project team," Fiona said, striding away.

Rose stood there, determined.
