Chapter 725 Don’t Try to Leave.
Ever since Aura found out that Fiona was Blaise's wife, Aura's gaze would always follow her wherever Fiona was.
Yesterday evening, before the dispute broke out, Aura saw Fiona. The islanders, who usually put them on a pedestal, suddenly hurled insults at them and even laid hands on Aura's mother. With Fiona present, Aura almost instantly concluded that Fiona must have instigated something!
When Aura saw Fiona pounce toward Lily, she reflexively thought that this woman must be trying to harm Lily, and she instinctively kicked a piece of broken stone toward her. Aura felt no guilt at all when she saw Fiona bleeding. She even felt a sense of relief, as if she finally venged Blaise. It wasn't until Fiona was taken away by a helicopter that Aura realized she might have caused trouble.
"I didn't mean to!" Aura lowered her voice. "Can you stop yelling? Blaise will hear!"
"All right, since she's fine, let's put this matter to rest. No one should mention it again in the future," Gray said sternly. "Pack up quickly. A boat will come to pick us up tomorrow morning." Cyrus vaguely sensed that something was not right.
"Why are you worrying about Blaise hearing all this?" He looked at his mother and sister, "Blaise doesn't even know who she is."
As he finished speaking, he saw his mother and sister remain silent. Cyrus felt a sinking feeling inside, "Has Blaise regained his memory?"
"No, he heard us talking about him, but he has no plans to go back with Fiona. No man can accept his wife quickly moving on after he disappeared for months." Gray lowered her voice. "In any case, don't mention that woman in front of him again. Once we leave the island, we'll start a completely new life together."
After speaking, Gray turned and walked toward the courtyard.
Cyrus stayed in place, his expression somewhat dazed.
"What's wrong, big brother?" Aura gave him a glance, furrowing her brows slightly. "You're not still angry about me accidentally hurting that woman, are you? Cyrus, you've been acting strange these past few days, always standing on that woman's side. Yesterday, when she got injured, you seemed very concerned. Are you starting to have feelings for her?"
Cyrus immediately furrowed his brows.
Seeing his reaction, Aura continued, "Snap out of it. Look at her social status and look at ours. We're not from the same world."
"And are you from the same world as Darwin?" Cyrus hit the nail on the head.
"There is no Darwin now; there is only my fiancé, Blaise!" Aura blurted out, her tone carrying a strong warning.
Cyrus looked at Aura.
"Aura, Mom was wrong." Cyrus's voice was dry, and there was a slight trembling in his voice. His eyes also turned red. "Last night, I overheard Henry and the bodyguards talking about Mr. Klein."
Aura's expression immediately became alert.
Cyrus's eyes became even redder, "Henry said that Mr. Klein and Miss Woods are just friends. She has been looking for Darwin all this time. She isn't promiscuous and hasn't been involved with other men. She and their twin children are waiting for Darwin to come back every day."
"Cyrus, what are you saying?" Aura took a step forward and covered Cyrus's mouth, a look of panic on her face.
"It's true!" Cyrus's voice trembled. "Aura."
"Cyrus, I can't live without Blaise. If Blaise leaves, I won't be able to go on!" Tears streamed down Aura's face.
Aura fell in love with Darwin at first sight.
That day, when Aura returned home and heard movement upstairs, she opened the door and saw a pale-faced man looking at her sideways.
He was clearly someone who had suffered severe injuries.
Before Aura could ask him anything, he looked at her blankly and asked hoarsely, "Where am I? Who am I? Do you know me?"
Aura's mind went blank for a moment.
The next moment, she blurted out, "You have amnesia?"
"Amnesia?" the man furrowed his attractive brows.
Aura then walked up to him and said, "Your name is Blaise, my fiancé. You had an accident at sea not long ago and were in a coma for a long time!"
Blaise had amnesia.
He was now at Aura's house.
Aura fell in love with him at first sight. It was fate sent by the heavens.
As time went on, her affection for him was growing stronger and stronger.
Blaise was not only good-looking but also knowledgeable.
Due to his amnesia, he had limited knowledge of lexical resources, but his brain instinctively reacted when he saw things he had encountered before.
For example, he discovered the value of coral and came up with a way to delay Solomon's investment.
If Aura didn't have to worry about Blaise's whereabouts being discovered, they could have a showdown with the Solomon Corporation until the end, according to his plan.
Which woman wouldn't like such a handsome and smart man?
Cyrus looked at his weeping sister with complicated emotions.
Aura choked and said again, "Cyrus, she is different from me. She is high up there with endless wealth and power. Even without Darwin, she has other financial conglomerates waiting to marry her. Even if she hasn't accepted anyone now, it's only a matter of time. I'm different, Blaise is the best person I can meet, I truly love him and see him as my one and only! She can live without him, but I can't."
"Have you considered that lies can't be hidden forever?" Cyrus asked. "If one day Blaise finds out the truth, how do you think he will see both you and me?"
"Blaise is a responsible person. By that time, we will be married and have our own child. Even if he is angry, he won't abandon me and our child!" Aura blurted out without thinking.
Cyrus fell silent for a long time.
He turned around and left the hotel without saying a word.
"Cyrus!"
Aura chased after him.
"Are you going to find Miss Woods?" Aura asked anxiously. "I will die; I really will! You promised Dad to take care of me! You can't treat me like this!"
"I won't!" Cyrus replied sternly. "I just want to get some fresh air."
"Cyrus, I know you're the best brother. Cyrus, I will treat Blaise well!"
Cyrus replied, "Go pack your things."
Aura wiped her tears and nodded.
Cyrus then headed toward the dock.
In the kitchen, Gray looked at the medicine box in her hand.
This was the prescription Cyrus gave to help Darwin regulate his body.
Gray opened the medicine package and skillfully picked out a few herbs to throw into the stove, then threw the remaining herbs into a pot to stew.
What was the point of recovering his memory?
As long as Blaise remained bedridden, even if he had the desire to leave, he would lack the ability to do so.
Afterward, Gray took out a dark root-like object from his pocket and threw it into the medicine jar.
