Chapter 1302

Wyatt had put together a list. The names on it were all people Lucian knew well.

Over the years, Lucian had worked with them, skimming off large sums of money from the Durham group.

Everyone had done pretty well for themselves, thanks to the Durham group.

"That's it," Wyatt said, finishing up the list. "They're all suspected of abusing their power, taking bribes, and kickbacks. The economic investigation department is already on it."

Lucian's eyes narrowed.

"The amount involved isn't small. Wanna guess how much they took from our Durham group?" Wyatt asked, his tone friendly again as he looked around at the shareholders in the room.

No one said a word.

Finally, Zebedee broke the silence. "With that many people involved, it can't be a small amount. Over a billion dollars, right?"

Wyatt raised his hand, his fingers waving slightly, and his mouth turned down a bit. "Based on the evidence, it's a staggering $2.3 billion."

"What? $2.3 billion!" The shareholders, who had been indifferent, were now completely shocked.

Basically, this money was theirs too, since they held shares.

"And that's just based on the evidence I have. The investigation departments will uncover the rest. The economic investigation team in the capital city is no joke." Wyatt leaned back.

He added, "Also, over the next month, I'll be making personnel changes throughout the Durham group. Every level might see changes. For this month, all departments' performance evaluations are on hold."

There was another uproar.

Wyatt looked at the pale-faced Lucian. "Uncle Lucian, the Durham group has been dealing with these issues for a long time. To rejuvenate the Durham group, we need to cut out the old problems."

"Wyatt, I didn't realize your carefree attitude was just an act. If I had known you had this in you, I wouldn't have interfered," Lucian said without a smile. "These shareholders wouldn't be so scared either."

"I had no choice. I didn't want it to come to this, but some people wanted to drive my parents to their deaths and see the Durham group fall," Wyatt said, staring at Lucian, emphasizing each word. "I wanted to be carefree, traveling the world, but they forced me back. Now, I'm full of resentment and anger, and I need an outlet. The Durham group is perfect for that."

In this shareholders' meeting of the Durham group, Wyatt came out on top.

The assistant was about to release the new personnel appointment announcement, but Wyatt stopped him.

Everyone in the conference room left, except for Fiona and her people.

"Fiona, take this back." Wyatt pushed the gift Fiona had brought back to her. "Don't worry, I'm stronger than you think. I can handle the group's affairs. If I can't, it's not your problem."

"My grandma gave it to you. You should return it to her. I don't want to get scolded when I go back." Fiona didn't take it. "If I had known you had a backup plan, I wouldn't have bothered coming here."

Wyatt smiled. "You helped me hold the fort."

Wyatt checked the time. "It's dinner time. Let's have a big meal!"

Fiona stood up.

Wyatt's gaze shifted to a woman. "Who's this young lady?"

"My new secretary," Fiona replied.

The conversation ended.

Wyatt immediately led her towards the door.
