Chapter 1099
"Did Darwin set this up? Would the local leaders really dare to kill someone?" Fiona asked.
Mike looked puzzled. "Got it, I'll check it out!"
"Okay." Fiona paused, noticing Mike drenched in sweat. "You know, Mike, you don't always have to talk in person. A phone call works too."
She patted his shoulder and walked away, leaving Mike even more confused.
Why didn't he just call Chelsea instead of rushing out?
Mike's hunch was right.
As soon as Darwin left in the morning, Xavier brought news of the Gray family's death.
Darwin sat in the back, coldly scanning the documents, his expression unchanged.
Xavier said, "Mr. Solomon, Mrs. Solomon will find out soon."
Darwin looked up at him.
Xavier's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly lowered his head.
Darwin said calmly, "They were killed in a vendetta. What does that have to do with me? Why can't Mrs. Solomon know?"
"Yes!" Xavier responded quickly.
No one knew when Darwin had become so terrifying, even more so than before he lost his memory.
The day they returned from North Alabama, Darwin gave two instructions.
One was to send Ethan back home.
The other was to withdraw the surveillance and announce that these three people were no longer being monitored by him.
In that place, being watched by Darwin's people was actually a form of protection.
No one knew the relationship between these people and Darwin.
So, when Aura first started going crazy and hurting people, everyone tolerated it.
As soon as Darwin's people withdrew, someone went for revenge that night.
The car fell into a dead silence.
Xavier and Tom didn't even dare to breathe heavily.
Meanwhile, Darwin acted as if nothing had happened, looking down at the documents.
The morning meeting ended.
Darwin gave a few instructions about the meeting at the Solomons' headquarters tomorrow.
He was about to go home to have dinner with Fiona and Chicago.
Unexpectedly, just as he was about to leave, a message came on his phone.
Surprisingly, it was from Rex, whom he had met at the Walker family in North Alabama.
"Uncle Solomon, are you in Bay City?" Rex asked.
Darwin replied, "Yes."
Rex quickly responded, "I was kicked out by my mom, and now I don't know where to go."
Darwin immediately frowned.
Half an hour later, he arrived at the address Rex had sent.
It was near the largest park in Bay City.
As he approached, Darwin saw from a distance, across the street, Rex walking barefoot with his head down.
"Stop up ahead," Darwin said to Tom.
