Chapter 1265

After wrapping up the meeting at Phoenix Prism, Fiona hopped into her car and immediately opened the app to check on Darwin.

About half an hour ago, Hubert had finished his daily chat with Darwin and uploaded the treatment log to the app.

Fiona read through it carefully.

Darwin's memory was all over the place. He remembered some things, like his diary, with Hubert's help. But there were still a lot of gaps, even with Hubert's guidance.

During today's session, Hubert couldn't figure out if Darwin had been abused by Brooke.

In the surveillance footage, Darwin was fast asleep in bed.

Fiona looked at him tenderly, her fingers gently brushing over his face on the screen.

Because of the meds, his appetite was off, and he had thrown up twice today, looking noticeably thinner.

Just then, the car came to a sudden stop.

Fiona almost dropped her phone.

"What happened?" she asked.

Christopher, sitting in the passenger seat, turned around. "Looks like Hubert's assistant is blocking the car."

Fiona frowned.

Christopher had already opened the door and stepped out.

Fiona put her phone away and got out too.

"I need to talk to Fiona!" As soon as she stepped out, she heard Rose's voice.

Seeing Fiona, Rose tried to get past Christopher. "Fiona, I sent you a message on Facebook. Why didn't you reply?"

"I was busy and didn't see it. What do you need?" Fiona's tone was cold; she hadn't expected to run into Rose so soon.

"I'm not cut out for this job," Rose said quietly.

Before she could finish, Fiona cut in, "Then quit and find something that suits you."

Rose was taken aback, then let out a cold laugh. "Fiona, you're hilarious. You forced me to come to Armie, so you have to take responsibility for me!"

Fiona realized Rose had something up her sleeve.

"Alright, how do you want me to take responsibility?" Fiona crossed her arms, looking relaxed.

Rose didn't hold back. "You have two choices: either I go back to Cyberia to do my old job, or you let me join the Solomon Group as your secretary."

"As my secretary?" Fiona was surprised.

She had considered many possibilities, but not that Rose would want to be her assistant.

"Yes." Rose nodded.

"Why?" Fiona asked, curious.

"No particular reason. I can do the job," Rose replied.

"I'll think about it." Fiona nodded and turned to get back in the car.

"I'll give you a day. If you don't give me an answer by this time tomorrow, I'm going back to Cyberia!" Rose quickly said.
