Chapter 1284

"The doc checked him out. Evander's super concerned about his image, so he didn't take him to a shrink. Instead, he brought the doc and all the gear to his place. Long story short, he got triggered and lost it," Gideon sighed deeply. "I only found out later that she went to her rich friends for help with the company's problems that afternoon. They said some nasty stuff and even brought up Ms. White."

Wyatt clenched his fists.

Gideon continued, "The driver said she also ran into Ms. White and Alexander when she left. That must've set her off."

Wyatt was quiet for a moment, then looked at Gideon. "Dad, take care of yourself and stay with Mom. I'll handle the company's issues."

Gideon said, "Wyatt, things are pretty bad right now."

Wyatt smiled. "Worst case, we all go down together. The Durham Family won't be the only ones suffering."

After leaving Gideon's place, he called over the driver who had followed Evander that day.

Wyatt asked about each of the wealthy ladies Evander had met and which families they were from.

In the afternoon, he had his assistant send out invitations for a shareholders' meeting to all the shareholders of the Durham Group.

The meeting was set for ten o'clock the next morning.

At that time, Fiona had just returned to the Solomon Group to hear a proposal for a major project.

George from the president's office rushed in. "Ms. Woods, the Durham Group has sent an invitation for a shareholders' meeting to Mr. Solomon and you. Mr. Durham is back."

Fiona nodded calmly. "Book me a flight. With Mr. Durham back at the Durham Group, the Solomon Group has to show support."

"Yes!" George left.

Henry looked at Fiona. "Isn't Mr. Durham moving a bit too fast? He just got back to the capital today, and he's holding a shareholders' meeting tomorrow."

"How do you know he got back today? Mr. Clark, you seem pretty well-informed," Fiona teased with a smile.

Henry scratched his head, embarrassed. "Well, as the VP of the Solomon Group, I do have some connections."

"Then tomorrow, Mr. Clark, you'll have to come with me."

"Yes!" Henry responded immediately.

He was pretty curious to see if Wyatt would take back control of the Durham Group or get crushed by the shareholders who had shown their true colors, ending up with nothing.

As Henry and Fiona were talking, there was a commotion outside the president's office.

"Ms. Everhart, Ms. Woods is in a meeting right now. If you keep this up, we'll have to call security!"

"Ms. Everhart?" Fiona thought for a moment.

She suddenly remembered that she had hired a secretary half a month ago.

She pressed the intercom and contacted the front desk, "Let her in."

Rose stormed into the president's office, furious.

"Fiona, what’s the deal?" Rose glared, looking like she was ready to explode.

"What did I do?" Fiona leaned back in her chair, asking seriously.

"The ROC acquisition case. You had me gathering data day and night for over half a month, and then you used someone else's data. What’s your game?" Rose's face was red with anger.

Fiona nodded, then looked up sharply at Rose. "Ms. Everhart, you've been here long enough to know how important the ROC acquisition case is, right?"

"Of course I know!" Rose replied.

"Then how dare you come here questioning why I didn't use your data?" Fiona frowned, clearly annoyed.

She added, "The data you compiled in half a month had over 150 errors, with more than 30 critical parameter mistakes. Not to mention you got the product names and department heads' names wrong. Do you want me to use your data for the acquisition and make the Solomon Group a laughingstock in the industry?"
