Chapter 1374

Never saw it coming, but that happiness lasted less than a month before Paul found Paula.

Odette wrote in her diary a bunch of times that Paula was a woman who barely wore clothes during the day and slept around, a total piece of trash.

The day Paula died.

Odette saw Paula and Paul getting it on behind a bar in a filthy alley, and then Paula left alone.

Odette followed her.

She acted all friendly and bought Paula a ton of drinks.

She just needed Paula to drink with her and keep her company.

Paula and Paul weren't really in love; they were just looking for a thrill, and he'd buy drinks when he was in a good mood.

After a few bottles, Paula told Odette not to look for men among jerks, saying she was so beautiful she could find a better guy.

But in her diary, Odette used the nastiest words to curse Paula.

When Paula got drunk, Odette pretended to take her home.

They were already drinking by the lake.

When they got to the deep water, Odette pushed Paula in.

Paula was too drunk.

She struggled a bit and then sank.

Back then, there wasn't much surveillance.

Paula died, and a few days later, her bloated body floated up.

The investigating officer thought it was suspicious, but there were no clues, so they quickly called it an accidental death due to intoxication.

Odette was scared.

She took sick leave and hid at home for a few days.

She even thought that if they really came for her, she'd immediately seek Brooke's help.

Luckily, God was on her side.

She was such a good kid who didn't smoke or drink and had no connection to Paula.

She got away with it.

This made Odette even bolder.

She didn't give up on her love; she thought Paul just hadn't settled down, which was why he did something that hurt her.

So she moved into Paul's house.

At first, everything was fine, but soon Odette found Paul's parents super annoying; they often interfered with her teaching Paul and treated her like a servant.

This made Odette really unhappy.

Paul's mom had high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.

Odette read some books and swapped out her meds with others.

While not poisonous, taking them for a long time would still result in death.

Because of the medication, Paul's mom lost hair in clumps, had no color in her face, and was listless all day.

She had no time to manage anything else.

Odette wrote in her diary that she was very satisfied with this outcome.

She even noted which spots in the nearby cemetery were more cost-effective, as she didn't plan to spend any money on Paul's mom, who was unfriendly to her.

Next was Paul's dad.

Paul's house was old with steep stairs.

That day, during a thunderstorm, the power went out.

Odette, taking advantage of the pitch-black environment, kicked Paul's dad down the stairs as he carefully descended.

Then she excused it as a slip.

Not long after this incident, Paul's family fled.

Odette was furious in her diary.
