Chapter 1340

"Emrys, are you just gonna stand there and let your family get pushed around because of you?" Wesley yelled at Emrys. "If you had any sense, you wouldn't be standing here arguing. You killed Grandma."

"I didn't kill Grandma. She called each one of you, asking you to go visit Brooke with her, but you all made up excuses! I took Grandma to fulfill her dying wish! I did nothing wrong!" Emrys said, his voice firm. "I won't give up anything Grandma left me to anyone!"

Under the shocked stares of the elders, Emrys paused and then spoke even more forcefully. "Since Grandma didn't leave her things to you, it means she didn't want you to have them. Grandma was good to me, and I will honor her wishes. Whoever she didn't want to give it to, won't get it!"

"Fine, you usually keep quiet, but now that the old lady is dead, you're showing your true colors!" Wesley pointed at Emrys, his face twisted with resentment and malice.

"Christopher," Fiona said softly, lowering her eyelids.

Christopher didn't say a word. He stepped forward and landed two sharp slaps on Wesley, causing him to lose his balance and stumble to the ground.

"Honey!" Vivienne exclaimed in surprise.

With both Jasper and Wesley being hit, she also exploded. "Fiona! What do you mean by this? Does being Mrs. Solomon make you special? Coming into someone else's house to hit people! I'm going to the media to expose your evil deeds!"

"Who did you just call an old lady?" Fiona looked at Wesley, her gaze fierce, and asked slowly.

Wesley wanted to retort, but when he met Fiona's gaze, he felt a chill in his heart and instinctively looked away.

"I showed Vespera respect by pretending not to notice how you mistreated her in her final days. I sat down calmly to listen to your complaints and tried to engage with you. You thought I was easy to deal with, and that's made each of you increasingly arrogant." Fiona's tone turned serious. "Since peaceful discussions haven't worked and you refuse to cooperate, we'll handle this your way."

"What do you want to do?" Jasper asked, suddenly alert.

"The will is fine, and we know where the missing items went. Next is to execute the will." Fiona looked at Jasper's family of three.

She had figured it out. The rest of the Blacksmith family didn't have much dispute over the will. However, seeing someone causing trouble, others wanted to join in. Seeing the situation turn unfavorable, they all chose to stand by.

"No way! That house is Jasper's, and he needs it for his wedding!" Vivienne started to throw a tantrum and shouted, "If you guys take it and he can't get married, we're not done! I'll make sure you never have peace!"

Emrys' parents were fuming with anger. "Vivienne, how can you act like this?!"

"Fine!" Fiona spoke almost simultaneously. "I'll make it clear today: I won't help Emrys take what doesn't belong to him. But if anyone here dares to take what Vespera left for Emrys, they'll have to deal with me. No matter what that person does in society, I'll do everything in my power to make sure they fail."

These words carried significant weight. Jasper's family, who had been noisy, suddenly fell silent, as still as statues.

"Of course, don't think about taking extreme measures. If things get worse, I'll send Emrys and his family to a comfortable vacation spot to ensure they don't get hurt by you. Once everything calms down, they'll come back." Fiona's protection of Emrys' family was partly out of loyalty to Vespera and partly to repay them for helping determine Aiden's cause of death.

The Solomon family was so protective of Emrys' family of three, and the Blacksmith family seemed to have not expected this. Some even secretly breathed a sigh of relief, glad they were just bystanders and didn't join Wesley in bullying Emrys. Otherwise, they could have created even more trouble.
