Chapter 1431

"Staying home is driving me nuts," Fiona said, stroking Darwin's head. "How about we visit Aiden and Marisole tomorrow, and then head to Serene City the day after?"

Darwin was surprised, asking and looking up at Fiona, "Serene City?"

Fiona nodded, then placed her hand over his eyes and kissed him. "What? Are you scared to meet my family?"

Ever since they got married, Darwin had been a bit uneasy about this.

He felt that Fiona's reluctance to take him to West Mountain Tomb meant she hadn't truly accepted or forgiven him.

"Of course, I'll go!" Darwin answered immediately.

He then pulled Fiona's hand away from his eyes and looked at her. "Fiona..."

"What is it?" She asked.

Darwin buried his head in Fiona's chest, his voice trembling slightly. "I love you so much."

Fiona laughed. "Mr. Solomon, even Chicago wouldn't be this affectionate with me."

"I'll be affectionate!" Darwin hugged Fiona's waist, nuzzling into her. "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat at home or go out and catch a movie?"

"Let's go out!" Fiona said without hesitation. "I'm suddenly craving something sweet and soft!"

"Alright!" Darwin responded, then unexpectedly scooped Fiona up and headed straight for the closet.

Fiona couldn't help but laugh.

She had noticed it a few days ago.

Darwin really wanted to go out with her.

The weather had been getting hotter lately.

Fiona didn't feel like wearing those pretty dresses, which would require makeup.

A loose white T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and some flip-flops were all she needed to head out.

Darwin followed suit.

"Where did you get these clothes?" Fiona asked in confusion.

Darwin's section of the closet was filled with formal wear.

"I had the store deliver them while someone was sleeping," Darwin said, wearing a matching luxury brand T-shirt, looking very pleased with himself.

Fiona was speechless.

She glanced at the closet again, thinking, 'Damn, I haven't noticed  the small closet now has a lot of new clothes, all matching sets.'

Darwin's intentions were too obvious.

Fiona teased, "They even have these styles in kids' sizes, how about..."

"No way," Darwin said, holding Fiona as they headed for the door. "They wear theirs, we wear ours."

Fiona shook her head, clicking her tongue.

By the time they left, it was already past eight.

Fiona and Darwin grabbed a bite to eat first, then strolled hand in hand towards the nearby mall.

It was a Saturday.

The plaza near the mall was bustling with people.

Quite a few recognized Fiona and Darwin.

What should have been a few minutes' walk to the mall took nearly half an hour because they kept stopping for photos.

Fiona glanced at Darwin.

His face was bright, his eyes and smile full of joy.

"Happy now?" Fiona asked.

Darwin instinctively looked over, understanding what Fiona meant, and nodded. "Very happy!"

He was thoroughly enjoying this moment.

Fiona suddenly remembered something.
