Chapter 1123
"The electric shaver's back. I'll toss the blade later!" Fiona snapped.
Darwin chuckled. "Already did."
Darwin couldn't risk keeping something so sharp around after weird stuff like that happening. .
His self-harm was unintentional.
Hurting himself was one thing, but if he accidentally hurt Fiona, he couldn't bear it.
"Okay." Fiona gently stroked his wrist. "I'll dry my hair myself. You go shower."
"Alright," Darwin said, giving Fiona a kiss.
He headed straight to the bathroom.
Darwin stood under the shower.
His body was covered in terrifying scars.
He removed the bandage on his wrist.
He wanted the scar to heal better; otherwise, Fiona would definitely notice the ugly, rugged mark.
After the shower, he rewrapped his wrist.
When he came out, Fiona was already leaning against the headboard, half-asleep.
Seeing his lover bathed in the dim light instantly calmed his restless mood.
He quietly walked over and turned off the room light.
He lay down, holding her.
"Are you done?" Fiona opened her eyes, turning to Darwin.
"Yeah." Darwin's voice was gentle. He kissed Fiona's lips in the dark. "Goodnight, honey."
"Goodnight." Fiona nodded.
As she drifted off, she thought about how tired she'd been feeling lately, not in good spirits.
She needed to take better care of herself, just like Alexander had advised.
Before dawn, the Solomon couple got up.
The house was bustling.
Even Burl, who didn't sleep at night, was yawning, fully dressed, leaning by the elevator, waiting to send Charles and the others to school.
After a busy morning and lunch, Darwin got a phone call.
He looked at Fiona. "Found it."
Fiona nodded.
The continuous rain finally cooled down Bay City a bit.
By afternoon, the sky was gloomy from the heavy rain.
After dropping the kids home, Darwin and Fiona left Emerald Pool.
They didn't talk much on the way.
Forty minutes later, they arrived at their destination.
Xavier came forward to open the car door for them.
"Mr. Solomon, Mrs. Solomon," he greeted respectfully and gestured ahead, "The person is in that private room."
Darwin's expression was indifferent.
Holding Fiona's hand, he walked straight over.
Just as they reached the slightly ajar private room door, a young man's voice came from inside. "This drink is for Antony. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't know how long we would be deceived by the Solomons! Following your guidance to increase the contract share ratio, although they said they wouldn't cooperate, they secretly approached the company's old employees to reconcile with us!"
"That old employee also said it was always the Solomons giving us concessions. If this is true, now that we don't cooperate, the Solomons must be very happy, right? Yet they are so eager to continue working with us!"
