Chapter 795 Grinding the Axe

Darwin glanced at Stuart.
A smile played at the corner of his mouth.
Eleanor's mother, Ms. Dashwood, was arranged in an abandoned activity room.
After Mr. Dashwood rushed over, he was taken to the activity room.
Originally, Mr. Dashwood was reluctant to come when he heard that his wife was causing trouble at school.
However, when he heard that she had provoked Janna and Darwin from the Rhoads family, he hurried over immediately.
"What's gotten into you? Who allowed you to come to the Dashwood family's daughter's school?" Mr. Dashwood didn't even care his wife was gagged and bound when he entered; he pointed at Ms. Dashwood and cursed. "Do you want the Dashwood family to have no peace?"
The bodyguard's face darkened upon hearing this.
He particularly disliked Ms. Dashwood and thought the man was no good.
"Your wife exhibited violent behavior today, so she can only be treated like this for now." the bodyguard said coldly but still reached out and removed the cloth from the woman's mouth.
"Honey! Call the police and arrest these people. That woman pushed me, and the old lady even slapped me."
Before she could finish her sentence, the bodyguard stuffed the cloth back into her mouth.
Indeed, some people could not afford to show her any mercy.
"Who pushed her? Who slapped her?" Mr. Dashwood asked in a deep voice.
"She threw a tantrum in front of Miss Chicago and the old lady; there was no other way!" the bodyguard replied.
Mr. Dashwood was slightly shocked. "Mr. Solomon's daughter and... Janna?"
"Yes."
Mr. Dashwood's legs went weak.
Mr. Dashwood and Ms. Dashwood had been dating since their freshman year.
At first, everything was fine, but as time went on, Ms. Dashwood's behavior became more erratic.
She didn't allow him to talk to other girls and always wanted to dictate his plans for postgraduate studies.
When he wanted to break up, Ms. Dashwood would get pregnant and then demand marriage.
Helpless, Mr. Dashwood had to turn to Ms. Dashwood Sr, who had no objections to him marrying Ms. Dashwood.
Ms. Dashwood was the only one left in her family.
She still had some compensation money in her hands.
However, Ms. Dashwood had one obsession: she must have a child.
Marriage was important, but she wanted to have a child first.
After having two children, he still couldn't escape. He married Ms. Dashwood in his graduation year.
Using Ms. Dashwood's compensation money, he started a business that failed.
Around the same time, their daughter, Eleanor, was born.
The family was in chaos at that time.
Ms. Dashwood Sr became harsh towards Ms. Dashwood.
What was even more despairing was that when Ms. Dashwood was giving birth, Ms. Dashwood Sr insisted on not having a cesarean section.
This led to complications due to the prolonged labor, along with the fact that Ms. Dashwood could no longer conceive.
The household became even more chaotic.
In the past two years, Mr. Dashwood rarely came home. He had a mistress outside.
Everyone in the family knew except Ms. Dashwood.
He was pondering how to divorce Ms. Dashwood and have her leave with their daughter.
And then she started causing trouble for herself!
"My mother was right; you really are a disaster!" Mr. Dashwood, in anger, raised his hand and slapped her. "Divorce! We must divorce!"
Ms. Dashwood was shocked, her pupils trembling intensely.
She wailed, not making any coherent words.
The bodyguard thought for a moment. He said, "Stop using foul language towards my lady and the old lady; I'll put the dirty cloth in your mouth!"
Ms. Dashwood nodded repeatedly.
The bodyguard removed the torn cloth from Ms. Dashwood's mouth.
"I won't divorce!" Ms. Dashwood blurted out.
The bodyguard couldn't bear it. "Given the situation, you won't divorce? What's good about this man?"
"What do you know? We've been together for ten years!" Ms. Dashwood shouted hoarsely.
"You've caused me so much trouble, and you still want me to continue living with you? Dream on! Tomorrow, you're coming with me to get a divorce!"
"I won't divorce! Honey, I beg you, I won't do it again; I won't dare!" Ms. Dashwood struggled, trying to kneel to the man.
The bodyguard was astonished.
He was Janna's bodyguard.
The women he had encountered were all strong and decisive.
No one dared to disappoint them.
"Nothing to negotiate about. Your pre-marital small apartment will still be yours. You take your daughter and move there as soon as possible. You won't have to bear the losses from my failed business after marriage. Sign quickly! Otherwise, it will go to court, and you'll have to bear these debts." Mr. Dashwood shouted.
In reality, Mr. Dashwood had no debts.
It was all an excuse for Mr. Dashwood to prepare for the divorce.
The house where his family currently lived was bought with Ms. Dashwood's money after marriage, and it had appreciated significantly over the six or seven years, almost doubling in value.
Mr. Dashwood didn't want to give Ms. Dashwood a single penny!
Stuart and Darwin heard everything clearly outside.
Stuart frowned and looked at Darwin.
"Bring him out," Darwin said calmly.
After a while, Mr. Dashwood stood in front of Darwin.
Outside the activity room stood a huge banyan tree.
Darwin stood tall and straight, leaning on a black cane, facing the cowering Mr. Dashwood.
Mr. Dashwood said, "Mr. Solomon, I'm truly sorry, but I had no idea my wife would do such a thing, causing trouble for you and your daughter. I'm deeply sorry! You can decide how to deal with her, and I will fully cooperate with you!"
Darwin looked at him coldly.
That woman was troublesome.
However, this man wasn't a good person either.
"It seems that she's mentally unstable and should receive treatment at a mental hospital," Darwin said icily.
Upon hearing this, Mr. Dashwood's eyes lit up immediately.
"Alright, I can sign, I can sign right away!" Mr. Dashwood hurriedly said.
Darwin frowned in disgust.
"Someone will come to you later for the necessary procedures."
"Okay!"
Darwin turned to leave.
After a few steps, Darwin seemed to remember something and glanced at the man who was typing quickly and smiling, not knowing who he was reporting good news to.
Stuart investigated a bit about Eleanor's parents.
It wasn't difficult to find out that Mr. Dashwood had another woman.
Combined with what he had just heard outside...
"I have a question," Darwin spoke up.
Mr. Dashwood looked up with a flattering expression. "Please, Mr. Solomon, go ahead!"
"If you propose a divorce, and Eleanor's mother goes to a mental hospital, how do you plan to arrange for her?"
Mr. Dashwood was taken aback.
He hadn't thought about it.
A big shot like Darwin actually cared about someone like Eleanor.
"Eleanor will, of course, live with me!" Mr. Dashwood immediately replied, "Please rest assured, I will take good care of her."
Darwin just gave him a cold look.
Mr. Dashwood felt a bit scared of being scrutinized.
He thought Darwin would say something, but he quickly averted his gaze, leaned on his cane, and walked away without looking back.
