Chapter 999
Patricia struggled frantically the entire time. She was such a small person, yet several adults had trouble controlling her.
"Sorry!" In the chaos, Betty, with her graying hair and swollen red eyes, bowed and apologized to Stella while crying.
Then, she followed the crowd carrying Patricia, quickly heading into the church.
Stella was still in a state of subtle shock.
After a moment, she squatted down and asked Mason, "Did it hurt when you fell?"
That fall was heavy; it must have hurt.
Given Mason's character, he would definitely say it didn't hurt at this moment.
Seeing Stella's worried expression, his little mouth quivered, and tears immediately fell, "It hurt!"
"Does it hurt a lot? Let's go to the hospital and check, make sure you didn't hurt your bones!" Stella said.
Mason was at the age of growth, and if he injured his tailbone or spine, the consequences could be severe!
"No need!" Mason shook his head. "It doesn't hurt that much."
"No, we still have to go! My car is in the parking lot, and it won't take long!" Stella said, looking around and grabbing a familiar-looking believer. "Excuse me, Mason fell heavily just now; I'm afraid he hurt his bones. I'm taking him to the hospital for an X-ray; please inform the church!"
After informing them, Stella took Mason to the hospital without hesitation.
It took several hours to register, wait in line, pay fees, get an X-ray, and receive the results.
Stella finally got the X-ray.
"No problem with the bones!" Stella sighed in relief, then looked at Mason. "But the doctor said your height development is a bit slow. I got you some supplements; you need to take them every day, understand?"
Mason spent the entire afternoon.
Sitting quietly in the corner, he drank two bottles of milk and had three packs of cookies.
Just watching Stella run back and forth, he was in a good mood.
All the kids waiting here were about his age, but none of their moms were as pretty as Stella.
Wherever Stella walked, even the wind carried a fragrance. No wonder Alexander left the church back then.
"I'm talking to you! What are you daydreaming about? You fell on your butt, not your head!" Stella had been talking for a while, but Mason didn't respond.
She raised her hand and tapped Mason's forehead.
Mason immediately snapped out of it. "What?"
Stella was silent.
"Nothing, let's go home!" saying this, she took Mason's hand.
Mason's butt still hurt, but as they walked out, he held his head high.
He always felt that other kids looking at him must be very envious that he had such a gentle and beautiful mom!
Just as they stepped out, Stella saw Liam and Alexander.
"What are you doing here?" Stella and Mason spoke in unison, but their emotions were very different.
Stella was surprised. Mason was speechless.
