Chapter 1177

When Fiona and Darwin showed up, Hubert wasn't at the clinic.

The assistant mentioned he was with Patricia.

Fiona asked, "How's Patricia?"

The assistant, knowing Hubert was treating Patricia because Fiona had asked, didn't hold back. "Dr. Hubert's treatment is working well. Patricia's been stable, but something big happened yesterday. That's why he couldn't see you and had to rush to her."

"Something big?" Fiona frowned, wondering if Patricia found out about Mason.

"Patricia's mom died in an accident last night," the assistant said quietly. "Her mom was the only one who seemed to care about her. Her brother and dad are hard to read. Given Patricia's fragile state, they shouldn't have told her. But they came in this morning crying, saying they wanted to take Patricia home for the funeral and would bring her back for treatment later."

"How did Patricia's mom die?" Fiona was shocked. "Wasn't she fine before?"

"I heard she was talking recklessly, saying we were treating Patricia for free, which led to Mason's death and Angela drowning," the assistant whispered. "After that, Patricia's mom started acting weird, saying she dreamed of Angela. Last night, she was hit and killed by a drunk driver on her way to visit Angela's grave."

Fiona was stunned.

Just then, the door opened.

Hubert walked in, looking a bit disheveled in his white lab coat.

"Dr. Hubert," the assistant quickly stood up.

Hubert nodded at her and walked over to Fiona and Darwin.

Fiona and Darwin stood up.

"Darwin, this is Dr. Hubert. Dr. Hubert, this is my husband, Darwin Solomon," Fiona introduced them.

Hubert smiled and shook Darwin's hand. "Mr. Solomon, nice to meet you."

Darwin shook his hand. "Dr. Hubert, nice to meet you, too.."

Hubert said, looking at Fiona. "Mrs. Solomon, I got a new fish tank with some cute fish. Want to see it? My assistant can show you."

Fiona looked at Darwin and smiled. "Darwin, you chat with Dr. Hubert. I'll go see the fish."

"Alright." Darwin was a bit nervous but hid it well.

After Fiona left, Hubert took off his lab coat, adjusted the lighting, and lit an aromatherapy candle. "Mr. Solomon, your wife mentioned you were diagnosed with PTSD after an injury, right?"

He sat down across from Darwin, like an old friend.

"Yes, here are the reports," Darwin handed over his files.

Hubert read them carefully, then looked at Darwin. "Mr. Solomon, psychological treatment is different from other medical treatments. Trust and cooperation between the patient and doctor are crucial," he said, placing the files back on the table. "You didn't trust that psychologist, so her diagnosis was flawed."

Darwin looked down. "This time will be different. I promised my wife I'd follow the treatment."

"Good," Hubert said, taking out a form. "Let's start with a test. It's just a basic assessment to get to know you better."
