Chapter 972

"Mr. Solomon has had a history of anxiety, and it seems the symptoms have worsened. For safety, when you return to the Bay City, please bring Mr. Solomon in for a consultation," the psychologist said.
After hanging up, Fiona felt an inexplicable twitch in her brow. Then she walked towards Chicago's room.
At this time, Charlotte and Ethan had both gone back to their rooms for a nap.
Fiona entered Chicago's room and saw Charles still by his sister's side.
"Mommy," Charles looked at Fiona and called out softly.
Fiona walked over, hugged Charles, kissed him, then looked at her daughter, who was sleeping soundly.
"scared?" Fiona asked Charles.
Charles, with reddened eyes, nodded.
"Daddy didn't mean it, Charles. Don't be mad at him, okay?" Fiona said softly.
"Is he okay?" Charles was silent for a moment, then asked instead of answering.
"He's not doing well." Fiona shook her head. "He's very worried that we might abandon him."
"How could that be?" Charles blurted out.
Although Charles was angry that Chicago got hurt, he had never thought of abandoning Darwin for that reason.
"That’s what I told him." Fiona sighed softly, stroking Charles's round little head. "We might not be able to stay with Thalassa much longer. We need to take Daddy back to see the doctor."
"Okay." Charles nodded.
"Don't you want to sleep for a while?" Fiona asked gently.
Charles shook his head and looked at Chicago. "I don't want to sleep. I want to stay here with Chicago. She'll feel safer waking up with someone by her side."
Fiona watched him, feeling a bit sour inside. Right now, it was not just Darwin who lacked a sense of security, but also Charles.
Charles' little head had a very vivid imagination. He had been to the place where Chicago fell, and he might have even imagined what would happen if Jessie hadn't caught Chicago.
"Jessie really deserves a reward this time. What do you think we should give it?." Fiona tried to lighten the mood.
"How about letting it meet Bob and Slin?" Charles blurted out.
Fiona was slightly taken aback. "Bob, Slin?"
"Yes." Charles nodded. "Every time we video chat with them, Jessie looks very sad. It must miss them a lot."
Charles had always been emotionally reserved towards family in the past. It was surprising to see how much he had changed over the year. He even empathized with Jessie's feelings.
"Alright, I will arrange it!" Fiona nodded. "I won't reward it with food. The vet already said last time that we need to watch Jessie's weight."
"It is all muscle," Charles said seriously. "It exercises every day, running and swimming."
Fiona laughed. "Alright, Charles, then you tell me, what should Mommy reward Jessie with to eat?"
"Jessie likes chicken legs."
"I got it!"
Outside, in the doghouse, since Fiona came back, Jessie had gone into the doghouse by itself.
At this moment, lying in the doghouse, it would open her eyes and then look at the room where Darwin was. Not seeing him, Jessie would close its eyes again, feeling reassured.
At noon, Burl had already given it an extra meal. It had eaten two cans of food. When Fiona came out of Chicago's room, unaware, she brought another can.
Jessie, who had been too sleepy to keep its eyes open, suddenly perked up. As if afraid of being found out that it had already eaten two cans, as soon as Fiona poured the can into its bowl, Jessie pounced on it immediately.
