Chapter 844 He Won't Get His Way
She pleaded in her heart over and over again.
As long as she could help Wyatt get through this, she would do anything.
She would even give up her life!
In the future, she would never stop Wyatt from anything or anyone.
She would accept it all!
As long as Wyatt could survive and be healthy in the future, she had no other wishes!
Meanwhile, Stella and Alexander, dressed in combat gear, got off a small boat and were ready to go to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
Stella loved nature and traveling.
Over the years, she had traveled to many places alone.
This was actually her second time in LindWell.
Unlike the last time when she was alone and couldn't communicate with anyone all day due to language barriers, this time was different.
This time, she had Alexander by her side, and she would tell him about the species she knew.
She would also listen to Alexander talk about the local tribal knowledge that she didn't understand.
She was very fulfilled and happy.
"After we finish this trip, there are still more than twenty days until Thalassa's due date. How about we go to Arcadia Valley to see the animal migration?" Stella had to admit that she loved traveling with Alexander.
They didn't bring any communication devices, but Alexander had a camera.
He claimed he wasn't good at taking photos, but he always captured her exceptionally well.
At first, Stella thought Alexander was being modest.
But when Stella saw the photos of the animals he had taken, they looked so strange and distorted that she truly believed them.
Suddenly, she remembered something she had read online many years ago.It read: [If someone liked you, they would take good photos of you.]
Alexander must really like her, Stella thought as she looked at the photos. Just thinking about it made her happy. And when Stella was delighted, it showed on her face.
Stella attracted mosquitoes. Along the way, she got many bug bites on her exposed arms and legs.
Meanwhile, Alexander was applying ointment to her swollen and bitten legs, and when he saw her looking at the camera, he smiled.
"Are the photos I took that funny?" he asked.
"Look at this monkey; you've made its face look so rugged." Stella shoved the camera in front of Alexander.
Alexander looked at the monkey. He muttered, "It looks pretty good, doesn't it?"
Seeing him, Stella smiled even more happily.
Alexander carefully applied the ointment to her bitten legs. Then he took the camera back and put it in its case.
"You're stingy. I laughed a bit, and you won't show me?" Stella huffed.
Alexander then grabbed her hand and brought it closer to him, saying, "You were complaining about itching on the boat earlier; is it not itching now?"
While speaking, Alexander applied the ointment to her arm and gently rubbed it.
The more Stella looked at him, the happier she felt.
Now she understood that only when she had been loved can she truly know what it was like to be loved by someone.
In short, it meant being happy and at ease all the time.
"Alexander!" Stella called out gently.
"What's up?" Alexander instinctively looked up.
Stella leaned in and kissed him on the lips.
There were quite a few customers in the restaurant nearby.
Alexander was taken aback. He coughed lightly, his ears turning red. He said, "You always do things so suddenly."
He said, but a proud smile was on his lips as he lowered his head to continue applying ointment to her arm.
The atmosphere between them was very sweet.
Meanwhile, another small boat docked, and four or five girls who seemed to be from Armie walked over, chatting.
They sat down next to Stella and Alexander.
Stella felt a bit embarrassed and restrained herself.
Little did she know...
"Come and see!" one of the girls suddenly got excited and said, "We finally have a signal! Look, there's a leak from the domestic media. The tycoon who wasted Stella's sixteen years of youth, a man surnamed Durham, is critically ill!"
"Didn't they say he was rushing to get married a few days ago? How come he's critically ill now?"
"The paparazzi said that after failing to crash a wedding in Aetheria and returning to Armie, he took pills at home!"
Upon hearing this, Stella snapped back to reality.
"Excuse me, where did you see this leak?" she frowned and walked over to the group.
They looked at Stella.
She took off her outdoor hat.
Stella decided to introduce herself, "I'm Stella."
They were instantly stunned.
The girl who had just shared the gossip news handed her phone to Stella subconsciously.
Stella took it and looked through it with a serious expression.
This topic had just come up recently.
A well-known leaker had exposed Wyatt's case.
Many details in the case were blurred, leaving only the words' multiple organ failure' clearly visible.
Stella's heart skipped a beat as she read.
As she scrolled down, she saw a comment from the leaker saying that Wyatt had taken a large amount of drugs to commit suicide, leading to multiple organ failure.
"That's impossible!" Stella blurted out unconsciously.
The onlookers still looked at her blankly.
"Sorry." Stella realized her outburst and handed the phone back to them.
Then she realized that she wasn't out here alone; she was out here with her newlywed husband.
After hearing gossip about her ex-boyfriend, she left her husband and came over here.
Stella quickly looked at Alexander.
Alexander sat there looking at her like a sad puppy.
Stella hurried back and said, "Alexander, don't misunderstand."
"No misunderstanding," Alexander held her hand and said, "What's going on? Did Wyatt really commit suicide?"
"I don't know," Stella furrowed her brows, then said firmly, "But I don't think he would do such a thing!"
"Who knows, maybe he went crazy because he lost such a good partner like you," Alexander said lightly.
Stella patted his hand. Then she felt a bit guilty and said, "Alexander, I..."
Alexander let go of Stella's hand, picked up his phone, and started playing with it.
Stella felt a bit helpless with herself.
It was strange; what did Wyatt have to do with her?
She had no connection with him anymore.
If she let Wyatt's situation affect her new marriage with Alexander...
Alexander said, "After lunch, let's go straight to the airport."
While Stella was lost in thought, Alexander turned his phone around to show her. It was a successful flight booking interface.
He said, "If all goes well, you'll be able to see Wyatt tomorrow."
"Alexander, my feelings for him are no longer love," Stella dragged her chair closer to Alexander and said, "I don't want him to die because of me."
"Neither do I," Alexander said as he gently caressed Stella's cheek. "If that's the case, he will get his way. If he's going to stay in your heart forever because of this, I don't want that."
