Chapter 1339
Jasper had been pampered since he was a kid.
Just like Wesley, he had zero sense of timing or manners.
But Fiona? She was someone they couldn't mess with openly!
"The missing item is found, so let's get to the will now," Fiona said, her face emotionless. "Vespera told me the will is super detailed. So why is there a dispute?" she asked.
Jasper snapped, "It's because Emrys worked Grandma to death. He doesn't deserve a penny of her estate!"
"Yeah, he worked her to death. How can someone like that inherit anything?" he added.
"But Vespera wants him to have it. Perciva, is there any way to contest the will?" Fiona asked the lawyer she had brought in.
The lawyer replied, "Mrs. Woods, I've gone over the will thoroughly. Vespera was very meticulous. Every clause is legit, and there's nothing fishy."
"Meticulous, my foot! No way we're giving the inheritance to someone who caused Grandma's death," Jasper fumed.
"Uncle Christopher, he's so scary," Chicago suddenly clutched Christopher's sleeve, looking terrified.
Fiona glanced at Chicago but said nothing.
Christopher patted Chicago's hand. "Miss Solomon, don't be scared. I'll handle this!"
Before anyone could react, Christopher stepped forward and slapped Jasper hard across the face. "What are you yelling about? You're scaring the kid! Have some manners!"
Jasper was stunned.
A moment later, he cursed.
Then he raised his fist to fight back.
But Christopher kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying.
"Jasper!" Vivienne screamed and rushed over.
"Christopher, what's wrong with you?" Fiona scolded, frowning. "You have no sense of proportion. I'm docking three months of your salary."
"Yes, ma'am!" Christopher immediately responded and stepped back.
"Is everything okay over there? Do we need to call an ambulance? My bodyguard is super protective of my daughter and can't stand to see her scared. He got a bit worked up. It's our fault, and I'll cover the medical and lost wages expenses," Fiona said calmly.
"Who wants your money? Bring him over here—I want to get back at him!" Jasper shouted, struggling to his feet, still wincing in pain as he pointed at Christopher, desperate to take charge of the situation.
"That's not going to happen," Fiona said, looking troubled. "He's a famous professional hitman. I paid a lot to have him protect my daughter. If you hit him, he will definitely fight back. If you make him angry, I won't be able to control him!"
Christopher remained silent.
When Jasper heard that Christopher was a professional hitman, his expression changed completely.
Christopher stared at him intently, and Jasper felt that gaze could have torn him apart.
