Chapter 554 Family

Fiona had not expected this.

Right after arriving in the area, she had run into the man seen in surveillance footage with the suspected Stuart.

"Are... are you looking for me?" Theodore stuttered.

His mind was racing with thoughts.

‘Could there be a secret about his past?

‘Was he possibly the illegitimate child of some old money family?’

"Do you recognize this man?" Mike showed Theodore a photo of Stuart, putting it right in front of him.

Theodore was taken aback.

Well, that was Sebastian from his family.

"No... no." Theodore shook his head, feigning ignorance. "Who's this? A relative or an enemy of yours?"

Fiona scrutinized Theodore closely, noting the conspicuous errors in his performance. His acting displayed numerous inconsistencies and shortcomings, leading her to conclude that he must have encountered Stuart at some point.

"Family," Fiona answered without hesitation. "He was harmed and his car went into the sea a few months ago and has been missing since. Today, I saw you at the Chicago hospital with your friend and I was sure it was him, so I came looking for you."

She was straightforward with her purpose.

"Family?" Joy flashed across Theodore's face, but afraid of revealing too much, he quickly composed himself. "I haven't seen him, no, but if you're family, do you have any proof? After all, there's also the possibility of someone seeking revenge."

Fiona didn't respond verbally.

She scrolled through her phone and pulled up a group photo.

Once again, the family portrait was handed to Theodore. "This is a picture of our whole family," she said.

Quickly, Theodore spotted the man in the photo who was a far cry from the person before him, Stuart—visibly a tough character.

"Wait here for a moment!" Without another word, Theodore dashed back without even remembering to grab his steak.

"Chelsea..." Mike, realizing that the man before them was suspicious and likely knew Stuart, turned his anxious gaze towards Fiona.

"Just wait."

Fiona's expression was serene.

Meanwhile, the grocery store owner stood by, too nervous to utter a single word.

Suddenly, Fiona turned to him and commented, "Your seasoning smells wonderful, reminiscent of the filet mignon I used to eat as a child. Are you from Serene City?"

The butcher seemed surprised.

"Yes, ma'am, you're from Serene City too?"

There's a certain closeness felt between those from the same place, and the butcher's fear dissipated.

"I grew up in Serene City," Fiona replied.

"Well, that's great! This filet mignon has been in my family for generations. It's fragrant. Wait here, I'll get you a piece. Whether you fry or grill it at home, it will taste just like the ones you had as a kid!"

As they spoke, the butcher enthusiastically fetched a sizeable piece of filet mignon from under his stall, uncovering the butcher paper that enveloped it. The aroma immediately filled the air.

Fiona swallowed hard.

"Then, I won't be shy about accepting your offer."

"People from the same place don’t need to stand on ceremony!" As they conversed, the butcher attentively selected a pristine non-woven fabric bag and slipped the wrapped steak into it.

Mike gestured to his bodyguard, who stepped forward to take the bag.

Up in Building 7, Stuart and his friends were still happily chatting when Theodore burst through the door.

Everyone jumped. "Theodore, what's the rush? You almost made me spill my beer!"

"Sebastian, you need to come with me right now!" Theodore reached out to grab Stuart.

Stuart looked stunned, then his expression darkened, and he tensed up. "Has someone been causing you trouble?" It was clear from Theodore's panting that he had been chased.

Looking at him, Theodore couldn't help but think of the resemblance in demeanor between him and the bodyguards that stood behind that handsome couple.

"No, your family is looking for you!" Theodore rushed to explain. "They showed me an old photo of you before you were injured, and even a family portrait! Sebastian, you have a family—a big one!"

"You mean Sebastian's family is in Armie and even in Bay City? What kind of TV show plot is this?" One of the crew members exclaimed.

Stuart paused momentarily before standing up, urgency taking over.
"Right, right, right, let's not talk here. Let's go down with Sebastian and have a look!"

"Yeah, all together now. If it's a scam, we've got numbers on our side, no fear!"

Although they said this, their bravado somewhat wilted when they came downstairs and saw the group of several bodyguards in front of the supermarket.

"Stuart!"

Mike was getting anxious as he waited.

His eyes were fixed on someone approaching.

At 6'4", Stuart stood out among the crew, especially since he had lost a significant amount of weight.

At first, Stuart didn't dare recognize them, but once he saw the faces clearly.

Mike shouted and charged forward.

The rest of the crew were still in a state of shock.

Mike, with tears streaming down his face, hugged Stuart, almost as if he wanted to climb on him.

"You’re gonna break his back," Theodore urgently said. "He's just recovered recently!"

Hearing this, Mike quickly let go of Stuart.

He looked him up and down, crying and laughing. "It's Stuart, it's really Stuart!"

Turning around, he shouted back to Fiona, "Ms. Chelsea, it's Stuart! It's him!"

Fiona's ears were ringing.

Her heart was racing.

She walked forward a few steps and then started to jog.

Soon, she was in front of Stuart.

With tears in her eyes, she looked at him for a long while, then suddenly smiled. "You were always the closest with Chicago."

From just one look in the crowd, Chicago was sure Stuart was the one.

"Are you my sister?" Stuart asked hesitantly.

He had no recollection of the beautiful woman before him.

But judging by her age, she had to be younger than him.

It was unlikely she was a niece or something.

She must be his sister.

"Yes." Fiona nodded with tears in her eyes.

Though Stuart was part of the Rhoads family and bore the title of bodyguard, everyone knew Janna treated him like her own grandchild.

"Who's Chicago?"

The name sent a jolt through his heart when he'd first heard it.

"My daughter," Fiona replied.

"My niece." Stuart quickly nodded in understanding.

"Everyone, thank you for saving him. We owe you a debt of gratitude; our family will definitely repay you," Fiona said, looking towards Theodore and the others.

"No need, it was the least we could do. But he's lost his memory, the doctor said it was due to a head injury. We were planning to gather some money after this ship journey to get his head checked out. Now that you've found him, you should take him to see a doctor right away," Theodore said hastily.

"Hold on!"

At that moment, one of the more cautious crew members spoke up.
