Chapter 959

Christopher rubbed his eyes. He glanced again at the photos Fiona sent had sent him. Although Charlotte's behavior was still a bit different from other kids, Christopher her life was becoming more normal. After all, kds her age should be able to sleep without any worries, sweetly dreaming.
Suddenly, Christopher made up his mind. Tomorrow, he would go to the nearby church to pray for Simon and, if possible, listen to the priest read the Bible a few more times.
Initially, if it hadn't been for Simon capturing Charlotte and forcing Christopher to come out to kill Fiona's children, Christopher and Charlotte's lives wouldn't have undergone such earth-shattering changes.
With that thought, Christopher sent Fiona a message of thanks.
When Fiona received the message on Facebook, she pulled Darwin out of their room in Chicago and said to him, "Christopher must be scared."
"They came back from the postnatal care center, followed Samuel's son to catch fish; maybe they were tired, took a bath, and went straight to sleep," Darwin whispered.
Fiona said, "To tire Charlotte out like this, impressive!"
"There's another one there." Darwin gestured to Jessie, whose half-butt was still outside the nest. It seemed that Jessie had a bit of OCD. Even in this situation, she insisted on climbing back into the nest to sleep.
Fiona couldn't help but laugh. Then her gaze shifted. Suddenly, she noticed something off about Darwin's arm.
"Are you injured?" She lifted Darwin's sleeve, frowning in concern. There was a scab on his arm from a friction wound.
"I almost got hit by a bike when I saved a kid. I fell when I rescued him," Darwin replied.
"Were you alone?" Fiona's brow furrowed even deeper.
"It was just me at that time." Darwin put down his sleeve and quickly reassured Fiona, "It's nothing, just a scratch."
Fiona felt both distressed and helpless.
But she couldn't blame Darwin for saving that child, could she?
"Did you disinfect it?" Fiona asked quickly.
Darwin nodded. "Chicago got me some."
That night, Fiona didn't know what she would meet in a few months.
Fiona got up early the next day.
When she left the room, she saw four kids gathered together.
"What are you guys doing?" Fiona yawned and walked over.
"Mommy, keep it down!" Chicago quickly turned around. "Milo is having breakfast."
Fiona paused, then remembered that she had brought Wyatt's cat back yesterday. She walked over.
Milo had been hungry all day yesterday and was now eating. Even if it thundered now, it probably wouldn't delay Milo's meal.
Chicago had clearly overthought it.
Fiona had been worried yesterday, thinking if Milo didn't eat today, she would have to take it to the vet.
Who knew...
