Chapter 1415

"Yeah," Charlotte nodded earnestly.

Thalassa gave a silent thumbs up. "I'm with you!"

Charlotte smiled shyly.

Thalassa found it fascinating. Despite their initial meeting, it was hard to connect the current Charlotte with the child who had single-handedly taken down Simon.

She reflected on the changes she had made over the past two years.

Thalassa glanced at Kenny.

Although Christopher was clumsy, he always showed his love in his own way for the child he had taken in.

Fiona also did everything she could to provide Charlotte with whatever she needed, as well as Chicago.

Chicago always generously offered anything she thought was good to Charlotte.

"Feeling good?" Kenny held Thalassa's hand and whispered in her ear.

"Yeah!" Thalassa nodded and looked outside. "It's a good day."

Today, Charles's school was holding a ceremony.

At the end, there was an award ceremony where Charles won seven competition trophies for the school in a year, along with a gold medal in a team competition.

It was said to be quite important, with only one trophy given out by the school each year.

To avoid missing the award presentation, they had decided last night that Thalassa and Kenny would pick up Chicago and Charlotte.

Burl had rushed back in the morning, intending to go to Charles's event, but got distracted playing with Melissa and ended up with the wrong group.

Regretting his mistake, he managed to juggle both tasks.

When they hurriedly arrived at the indoor sports arena, they made it just in time for the award presentation.

Charles, dressed in a custom suit, stood at the front of the line, looking impatient.

Janna was worried sick.

She had taken Charles to the hospital again last month, fearing that his leukemia might affect his growth, but the results showed everything was normal.

Though his height wasn't impressive, his presence was stronger than the beaming principal.

The principal stood at the microphone, passionately listing the various trophies the grade had won in competitions throughout the year.

When he mentioned that seven individual gold medals were won by Charles, the audience was stunned, followed by enthusiastic applause.

Fiona, sitting on the second floor, clapped along, spotting Frank and Evelyn's parents within her view.

They were more excited than if their own children had won.

Thalassa and the others arrived at this moment.

After the announcement, Charles was invited to the microphone to say a few words.

The day before, Thalassa had seen the speech Charles brought home.

He hadn't even glanced at it.

He left it on the table in the hallway and went to his room to focus on his own things.

"Charles will probably wrap it up in one sentence," Thalassa whispered to Fiona, her smile radiant.

Sure enough, Charles stepped up, and under the principal's eager gaze, he calmly said, "Thank you for the trophy. I will continue to work hard."

Then he slowly walked down and stood obediently to the side.

The audience applauded warmly.

The principal was taken aback. "What?"
