Chapter 1091

Darwin changed his clothes and went to wake up Chicago and Charles.

After having breakfast with them and Fiona, he hurried out.

Chicago was the happiest to see Darwin go to work.

Standing by the living room's floor-to-ceiling window, she enthusiastically waved at Darwin.

"Whose kids will care so much about whether their dad goes to work?" Fiona was video chatting with Thalassa, showing her how happy Chicago was, and complained.

Thalassa said, "Chicago worries so much about this family, and you don't even appreciate it!"

"Yes. Everything Chicago does is right!"

"Of course!" Thalassa paused. "How's Stella doing?"

Some previous incidents, because they didn't have a wide impact, could be kept from Thalassa, but Mason's matter was now a hot topic all over the Internet.

Naturally, Thalassa knew about it too.

"She hasn't gotten up yet." Fiona looked at her. "I'll take good care of her, don't worry, just focus on your recovery."

Thalassa replied, "I feel like I'm recovering well. I really want to grab Melissa and run away!"

"Run away?" Kenny's voice came from the other side. "Don't forget to take me."

Fiona laughed.

"Alright, I still need to look at the proposal from Monsoon Investment. Let's talk about it at noon," saying this, Thalassa called out to Chicago, "Chicago, come and give me a kiss."

Chicago immediately ran over and took the phone.

The two of them exchanged a bunch of affectionate kisses over the phone.

Fiona shook her head as she listened.

Not long after hanging up Thalassa's call, Stella came out.

She still looked listless.

However, Chicago quickly went over to cling to her.

Stella's condition noticeably improved.

"Aunt Stella, where's Milo?" Chicago leaned against Stella and asked sweetly.

"It's still with Preston. Do you want to see Milo? I will ask Preston to bring him over!" Stella said.

Because they had planned to go to church earlier, she had temporarily sent Milo to Preston's place.

"Uncle Preston?" As they were talking, Chicago suddenly looked towards the elevator.

Stella turned to look.

She saw Alexander holding a very unhappy Milo, with Preston beside him.

"Looks like someone thought of it before you did," Fiona said with a smile.

Stella looked at Alexander, kind of wanting to cry.

"Milo, hello, I haven't seen you in a few days. How did you get chubbier!" Chicago tilted her head and adorably greeted Milo.

Milo let out an unhappy meow.

Stella carried it.

Milo still looked unhappy but obediently lay on her lap.

"Sorry, I've neglected you these past few days." Stella stroked its fur.

Milo let out two more dissatisfied meows.

Stella looked up at Alexander. "Thank you, Alexander."

"You're welcome." Alexander smiled and patted its head.

"Stella, why don't you thank me? Milo was so naughty. It almost destroyed my apartment!" Preston felt very aggrieved. "What's worse, my wife thinks it's adorable and is now contacting catteries to buy a cat! Oh my god!"

"Thank you!" Stella, seeing Preston's exaggerated expression, knew he was trying to cheer her up, and immediately smiled. "Where's your wife?"

"She couldn't bear to part with Milo, crying at home, saying she's going to buy a cat this afternoon."

"Milo, you're really popular!" Chicago praised.

Milo suddenly became full of energy.

It was true that humans couldn't live without cats.

After Alexander brought Milo over, Stella's condition improved again.

Meanwhile, the online discussion about Mason's incident was slowly dying down.
