Chapter 811 Are You So Skilled?
"I know," Stella replied confidently.
Wyatt had been conjuring up excuses for Stella all along the way. She must have been unaware of his accident, which explained her absence.
It didn't bother her being with another man; after all, it wasn't the first time...
But when Wyatt heard Stella utter the word "I know," all his excuses and justifications crumbled like a house of cards.
"I forgot to make introductions." Stella chuckled, then turned to Alexander. "Alexander, this is Wyatt." Her smile dimmed as she faced Wyatt. "Mr. Durham, this is Alexander, my husband."
Wyatt's complexion drained in an instant, his breath turning heavier, a clear sign of anger.
"Stella, I'm giving you one chance. Come with me." Wyatt's voice was firm. "Let's return to our homeland to tie the knot. I won't dwell on the past."
"Mr. Durham, my apologies." Alexander's tone remained neutral. "Stella and I have completed the marriage registration and are legally married. You've missed the opportunity. It's time to move on."
"Damn it!" Wyatt cursed. He immediately strode over in big steps.
"Wyatt, what are you going to do?" Stella instinctively wanted to protect Alexander.
"Are you protecting him?" Wyatt pointed at Alexander and said, "Stella, do you even know what you're doing?"
"Wyatt, I'm clearer than ever about what I'm doing!" Stella stared at Wyatt, "When I left that day, I made it very clear to you, this time, I won't turn back."
Wyatt looked at her determined expression, he felt increasingly flustered in his heart. "Stella, I know... I know I was immature before, causing you a lot of grievances. I won't do that again. Will you give me another chance?"
Alexander lowered his gaze to look at Stella. He also wanted to know Stella's current attitude towards Wyatt.
Stella looked into Wyatt's eyes.
Even though there had been a similar moment of submission in the past fifteen years, this time, she wouldn't waver.
"Wyatt, I have found my own future," Stella said calmly to Wyatt. "I believe you will find yours soon, too. We... really are not suitable for each other!"
"I'm not suitable. Can this man you've known for such a short time be suitable?" Wyatt pointed at Alexander.
"Yes." Stella nodded without hesitation.
At that moment, it was as if Wyatt's heart had stopped beating.
"Go back, don't worry your parents." After saying that, Stella patted Alexander's hand, "Let's go back home!"
The words "back home" hit Wyatt's heart like a heavy blow.
In his mind, countless images flashed like lightning, Stella smiling at him at various ages, then saying, "Let's go home."
Wyatt thought, 'Did she have a home with someone else now? What about him? No, it couldn't be, it wasn't possible! Stella could only be his!'
"Stella, come back with me. Let's sit down and talk! Let's clear up any misunderstandings at once!" Wyatt grabbed Stella's hand and tried to pull her away without hesitation.
Before she could react, a pair of hands with distinct knuckles grabbed Wyatt's wrist, and then Stella heard the sound of bones cracking. The hand that grabbed her wrist immediately went limp.
She looked shocked at Alexander.
Alexander was expressionless, grabbing Wyatt's hand. With a shake, the arm that had just gone limp was taken aback by Alexander.
Then he pushed Wyatt out.
Wyatt took several steps back before steadying himself. He was clearly bewildered.
"You're injured, and it's unfair for us to fight, but don't touch my wife again, or after I disassemble your arms and legs, I won't help you put them back on," warned Alexander politely.
"Wyatt!" Oliver ran out of the speeding car.
Stella and Alexander got into the car.
Seeing this, Wyatt immediately tried to catch up but was grabbed by Oliver.
"Wyatt, have you gone mad? You've been lying in the hospital for days because of her. Ms. Durham's almost cried dry! Stella's been fooling around with men in hotels for days. Why do you look for her?" Oliver shouted.
Wyatt's ears were buzzing. Almost reflexively, he turned around and punched Oliver.
Wyatt knocked down Oliver. He pounced on him, grabbing Oliver's collar. "Who's the trash? Say it again, who's the trash?"
Oliver was also from a wealthy family.
Even though he was about to get beaten, he didn't change his tune. "Stella changes men more often than clothes. If she's not trash, then what is she? Wyatt, we grew up together, and today, you're fighting me over a woman. I flew all the way from overseas, and this is how you treat me?"
Wyatt looked at Oliver. His heart was about to explode.
He suddenly remembered what Fiona had said before-- Isn't the way people around you treat Stella dependent on how you treat Stella?
Wyatt clutched his chest. As he swallowed, a wave of sweetness surged through him.
"Wyatt!" Oliver noticed something was wrong with Wyatt. He stopped scolding and feeling sorry for himself and quickly called out his name.
The next moment, Wyatt turned his head and spat out blood.
"Oh my God!" Everyone exclaimed.
Wyatt let go of Oliver, lay back on the ground, and looked up at the clear blue sky, crying out hoarsely.
Inside the car, Stella was still reeling from the shock of Alexander's recent actions.
"Alexander!"
His fingertips trembled slightly. He had laid hands on Wyatt, and she was probably going to scold him.
Just as Alexander was waiting to be scolded...
"Why didn't you tell me you were so good at fighting?" Stella's voice was incredibly shocking. "The first time I saw you, you were so refined and elegant. Who would have thought you were so good at fighting? I was worried you wouldn't be able to beat Wyatt in a fight..."
Alexander was bewildered. "Aren't you going to scold me?"
"Scold you? Why would I scold you? You've been so good these past few days..." she said.
The car swerved slightly on the road.
"Slow down! Slow down!" Stella tightened her seatbelt.
"Okay..." Alexander replied, still puzzled. "Why aren't you scolding me? I disassembled Wyatt's arm."
"But you put it back on." Stella blurted out, "Wait, let's think it logically. He was trying to grab me. And then, in defense of my safety, you intervened, right? It makes sense. Why would you get scolded? Alexander, am I being unreasonable in your eyes?" "
