When Fiona first rolled into Darwin, she had no clue who Adien was.
Fast forward about six months, and she was at a Solomon Family shindig, dropping off a tie for Darwin.
When she arrived, she happened to hear Anniston mention Aiden. Up until then, the party was smooth sailing.
Back then, Brooke was healthy and always carried herself with grace. She seemed pretty chipper that day. But once Anniston brought up Adien, she lost it.
Fiona, being the newbie and all, got pretty freaked out.
Later on, she learned that Brooke had an older son who was supposed to take over the family business, but he passed away young.
Since then, Adien was a no-go topic in the Solomon Group.
Anniston didn't just slip up mentioning Adien. She was ticked off because one of her big projects got axed by Brooke. She figured Brooke was just flexing her power by shutting down her project.
Thinking Brooke was out to get her, Anniston decided to ruin Brooke's good mood by bringing up Adien when Brooke was happiest.
Fiona remembered Anniston saying, "On such a happy day, I can't help but think of Adien. He was way smarter than Darwin's dad, but sadly, he left no kids."

The office was dead quiet.
Hubert lit a calming aromatherapy candle and pulled the curtains, making the city lights pop.
Fiona sat there, flipping through files about Adien.

As Fiona read, she thought it was no wonder Adien was Brooke's pride and joy.
No surprise Brooke went to such lengths to keep Adien's legacy alive.
