Chapter 1288

After dinner, Janna called Fiona into the study.

"Here you go. Give this to Wyatt from the Durham family tomorrow," Janna said, handing Fiona a manila envelope.

Fiona took it and replied, "I hope Wyatt can make something of this. He can't let your goodwill go to waste."

"Don't worry, I've checked out Wyatt's past business deals. He's got what it takes. Darwin might have overshadowed him, but he's actually pretty competent," Janna said.

"Yeah," Fiona responded.

"Alright, get up early tomorrow. Go wash up and get some sleep," Janna said, patting Fiona's hand.

Fiona left the study and ran into Stella, who was hanging around nearby.

Fiona smiled when she saw her. "Were you waiting for me?"

Stella quickly approached and pulled Fiona into a corner. "What are you holding?"

"Something to give to Wyatt tomorrow," Fiona answered.

"Okay," Stella thought for a moment and said, "I heard about Evander."

Stella had met a lot of people through Wyatt, including some wealthy women who knew Evander. Even though Evander's incident wasn't serious enough to make the news or send her to the hospital, rumors were still spreading. Over the past few days, people had been talking about it, and some of these wealthy women had told Stella.

"It's ridiculous. I deleted them from Facebook and changed my number, but they still found me!" Stella said, annoyed. "I hold no grudges. I'm fine now!"

"There's no need to be upset," Fiona said. "These people were probably bullied by Evander in the past. You know her temper; she can lash out at anything when she's in a bad mood."

Stella burst out laughing. "Yeah."

"Janna has looked into it. It might just be a temporary shock. With proper treatment, she could recover," Fiona continued. "You don't need to worry."

"I'm not worried, it's just..." Stella glanced at Fiona. "Alexander said if you need the Beaumont Family's resources, you can come to us."

"You two are so kind," Fiona smiled warmly. "I know. I'll mention it to Wyatt."

"He cares a lot about his reputation. You don't need to mention me or Alexander, just say you can introduce a great doctor!" Stella quickly added. She genuinely wanted to help but didn't want any more entanglements with Wyatt.

"Got it," Fiona said. "I have to be at the airport by four tomorrow, so I need to get some rest."

"Alright, go ahead," Stella nodded, waving sweetly at Fiona.

Fiona smiled and walked upstairs, thinking carefully. Wyatt and Stella really weren't the same kind of people. Alexander and Stella's souls were deeply connected. They were very devoted to love. Stella remained loyal to Wyatt for sixteen years, and Alexander, in a moment of impulse, waited ten years even though Stella didn't know him. Both Alexander and Stella were kind. Whether it was their previous generous treatment of Wyatt or now, upon learning of Evander's sudden illness, offering to help, it all showed Alexander and Stella possessed great kindness and generosity. They were both compassionate and benevolent people.

As soon as Fiona left, Alexander came to find Stella. "How did it go?"

Stella leaned into Alexander's arms and said softly, "You know, she just saw me once and then went home and went crazy. Isn't she finding fault with me?"
