Chapter 1069

Chicago didn't get a reply from Ethan.

During dinner, Fiona was the first to mention that Ethan was going abroad for studies.

"Going abroad?" Chicago asked in shock, "Mom, you must have heard wrong, right?"

Darwin gently placed the fish fillet, free of bones, onto Chicago's plate. "Ethan said it himself, and Mom confirmed it with Randy. Ethan is going to a very good school."

"But when we were in North Alabama, Ethan was still preparing for the competition next year!" Chicago still couldn't believe it.

"Randy said it was a last-minute opportunity, a very rare chance," Fiona explained.

In fact, she was quite puzzled herself.

Ethan had been adamantly against going abroad before.

Last year, he even gave up an exchange opportunity to a girl who was competing with him.

Why did he suddenly decide to go abroad? And in such a hurry.

He was leaving tomorrow.

Fiona originally wanted to go see him, but Ethan directly refused.

Chicago frowned slightly.

She thought about the question he still hadn't answered.

She was visibly upset.

Then she angrily started eating her meal.

She was so mad that she ate more than half of her usual appetite.

Janna was extremely happy to see that.

After dinner, she angrily ran to the kitchen, grabbed the salmon she had saved for Jessie, and went out to take care of it.

After feeding Jessie, she checked her phone.

There was still no reply.

She angrily took out the test papers Ethan had given her before and started working on them furiously.

Fiona couldn't help but laugh. She looked at the clock. "I'm still worried about Ethan. Darwin, you take care of Chicago, I'll go check on him."

"Honey, Ethan has always been a very determined kid. Since he made this decision and is going to one of the world's top schools, it's great for his future. There's nothing to worry about." Darwin paused. "If we interfere too much, Ethan might resent it."

"That's true."

"How about this, I'll ask Randy about his departure time, and tomorrow I'll go to the airport with you to see him off?"

Fiona thought for a moment. She nodded.

Darwin said, "Alright, don't worry. Once he's there, we'll find more people to look after him."

"Yes." Fiona nodded.

Darwin put his arm around her shoulder and gently squeezed.

In fact, if Fiona went to see Ethan tonight, it would be a wasted trip. Because not long ago, Ethan had locked the door to his house and left for his parents' cemetery.

He left with his luggage and booked a hotel near the cemetery.

He probably wouldn't be coming back.

Tomorrow, he would head straight to the airport from the cemetery.

At this point, Darwin didn't think there was anything wrong with his approach.

Ethan had made a mistake, but he would be away from home for a few years and would have a bright future because of it.

Chicago would also be free from a bad influence.

It was a good thing for everyone.

It was a win-win.

That night, Chicago sent another message to Ethan on Facebook, but it was like a stone sinking into the sea, with no reply.
