Chapter 873
Liam pondered for a moment and silently took the paper.
On that evening, there were fresh and delicious watermelon pieces in the church.
The volunteers were all enjoying their meal, and Stella was in high spirits.
"But it's so amazing," Stella looked at the potluck on the plate and said, "After eating for two or three days, it somehow tastes even better!"
Alexander gazed at Stella as if she were a well-behaved child.
In the past, when he heard people talk about Stella, many said she was delicate and affected. But they didn't know Stella was so easy to please.
"We'll go out later and buy some local specialty desserts to bring back," Alexander said as he reached up to remove a leaf from Stella's hair.
"Is it delicious?" Stella's eyes lit up immediately.
Alexander nodded. "Not bad."
"Then I'll get some more for Mason!" Stella liked Mason, who was occasionally acting absent-minded yet seemed inexplicably mature for his age.
"Okay." Alexander nodded.
The two of them enjoyed the potluck, helped wash the dishes, and tidied up the church.
Then Stella and Alexander left through the side door.
The dessert shop was just outside the church, on the same street as the Smiths' fruit shop.
The news of Alexander's return had spread throughout the street. So when Alexander and Stella arrived, the dessert shop owner was only momentarily surprised.
While exchanging pleasantries, Alexander handed the waitress the list of desserts they needed.
After the pleasantries, Alexander immediately introduced his new bride.
Ignoring the other's probing gaze, Stella politely greeted them.
Several boxes of desserts were packed.
The owner of even wrapped a box in gift paper and said, "These are macarons. Congratulations on your wedding!"
Stella's eyes immediately welled up with tears as she took it with both hands. "Thank you so much!"
"Alexander is not young anymore. You two should hurry up. Next time you come, I will have chocolates for the kids to enjoy!" the owner said cheerfully.
Stella blushed but nodded graciously and said, "We'll do our best!"
Alexander couldn't help but laugh.
The owner laughed along.
After purchasing the pastries, the two of them carried them to the car.
At this moment, the setting sun cast an incredibly beautiful scene over the church.
"It feels like the church is gently bidding us farewell!" Stella said romantically.
Alexander smiled at her. "But... do you really have plans to have children?"
"Don't you?" Stella was astonished.
Alexander had originally intended to tease Stella. But he didn't expect Stella to take it so seriously, leaving him a bit bewildered. "I'll follow your lead."
"Don't rush it. Which young couple in love rushes to have children?" Stella swayed Alexander's hand and said, "Let's enjoy being in love first!"
Alexander's eyes flickered for a moment.
Being in love was very wonderful...
Being in love was really great!
In the church, men and women lived separately.
As they were about to go their separate ways inside the church, they encountered Mason, who had been dozing off from exhaustion.
"Mason, you arrived just in time!" Stella had a small bag of pastries in her hand, each piece a popular flavor, all for Mason.
"Stella, Alexander, hello." Mason greeted them weakly as he walked over.
