Chapter 1490

Chicago immediately pouted, feeling aggrieved. "Mom..."

"What? Out of ideas already?" Fiona looked surprised.

Chicago's mind was always buzzing with creativity.

Her understanding of colors has always been superior to that of the average person. So, throughout her years of creating art, she had never experienced a lack of inspiration.

Chicago often whined, "I can't finish it, I just can't!"

"No," Chicago said, stretching her arms out towards Fiona.

Fiona couldn't help but laugh as she stepped forward and gently hugged Chicago. "How old are you? Still acting like a baby?"

"Even when I'm 100, I'll still want to be babied by you!"

"Where's Charles?" Fiona suddenly changed the subject. "Lydia said he didn't come home last night."

"He probably had something important to take care of!" Chicago replied seriously.

Fiona looked skeptical.

Chicago felt a bit guilty.

Fiona glanced at Chicago in her arms, then looked out the window, gently stroking her daughter's cheek.

"Is Charlotte up yet? I need to talk to her about her wedding."

Chicago looked up at Fiona and gasped.

Fiona raised an eyebrow at her. "What's the matter?"

Chicago's face turned red. "You should ask Charles about that, I don't know anything!"

"Why would I ask Charles about Charlotte's wedding? It's not like he's the one marrying her," Fiona replied with a smile.

Chicago's pupils shrank, thinking, 'Oh no! How did Fiona manage to hit the nail on the head even when joking?'Fiona asked, looking at the bewildered Chicago, gently tapping her nose. "You used to be able to keep secrets when you were little, but now you can't?"

She paused, then said knowingly, "So, Charles and Charlotte are together, right? Are they getting back together?"

These two questions hit like a bolt of lightning.

"Mom, you know? Did Charles tell you?"

Fiona shook her head.

"Then how do you know? I didn't even know!"

"During that time, Charles was visibly very happy," Fiona said, gently pinching Chicago's cheek.

Her daughter was so adorable!

"Yes, you also mentioned that you felt inexplicably happy during that time."

Chicago thought to herself, 'It was true. I have always thought it was some strange change after turning eighteen.'

"Yeah, then Charlotte dumped Charles, and Jessie went back to Dogstar. I was really sad during that time," Chicago said, pursing her lips. "Being twins, there's just no privacy!"

Fiona laughed.

"Mom, stop laughing! They were together, but now Charlotte is getting married, and your son is rushing to be the other man!" Chicago grumbled.

"Charles has his own legs, what can I do?" Fiona spread her hands.

However, she knew the character of both Charlotte and Charles well.

If Charlotte truly loved someone else and wanted to marry them, she wouldn't let Charles interfere.

"What if Charles takes after Dad?" Chicago asked cryptically. "Like, locking someone up and forcing them to love him?"

Fiona was speechless.

"Who told you your dad was like that?" Fiona said, half laughing, half crying.

"Mom, I'm grown up now. I can find all sorts of stuff about you two online!"
