Chapter 946
"Darwin, don't spoil her too much; Chicago is teething," Fiona advised earnestly.
"I got it." Darwin nodded.
He thought, 'Stella is simply unstoppable!'
"Alright, I'll sneakily video call you again tonight and show you the little kitty," Fiona said, rotating the camera to show a cat sleeping on her lap. The cat showed an air that wasn't aligned with its age.
After a brief video call, Fiona put away her phone and laptop, grabbed her briefcase, and stood up. "Can we go now?"
Wyatt was still a bit dizzy.
Although he listened to the voice messages Stella sent him every day, compared to those few seconds just now, Stella's voice messages suddenly lost their appeal.
In fact, Wyatt's phone didn't have many voice messages of Stella's, either.
The old phone with the messages had long disappeared.
Wyatt didn't like listening to voice messages, so most of the chat history was in text. Or, he would just make direct voice calls.
Wyatt wasn't planning to go, but after hearing Stella's voice just now, he thought of what Fiona had said.
Fiona would spread rumors to Stella about Wyatt.
Wyatt became worried again. He had no choice but to agree.
Then Fiona took Wyatt out.
It was a scorching summer day.
The sun outside was extremely intense.
After the car ran for a while, Wyatt glanced at the cat hair on Fiona's black trousers.
Wyatt said helplessly, "Fiona, do you know magic?"
Fiona was speechless.
"What now?" she said.
Wyatt remained composed. "From the beginning, you can make people around you like you. Everyone in Darwin's office was on the same page as you. Later, Darwin was almost at his wits' end because of you, not to mention the people from those cooperating companies."
Wyatt continued with a sneer, "I'm not afraid to tell you this. After seeing through your true colors in that battle in New Port, I even had some feelings about you."
Fiona didn't know how to respond to this.
"Don't look at me in contempt like this. At that time… All my feelings for Stella seemed to be gone," Wyatt said.
"You don't need to explain to me." Fiona waved her hand.
Wyatt seemed to realize belatedly that he didn't need to explain indeed.
So he changed the subject again. "Even my cat can sleep on your lap in such a short time. So, if you really know some magic, can you teach me?"
"I rely on my charisma," Fiona replied.
That was Fiona's indirect criticism toward him.
After an hour of driving, they finally arrived at the Spanish restaurant.
Just as they parked the car, Oliver showed up. "Wyatt! That's how you treat your friend!"
Oliver had lost a lot of weight.
Fiona looked at him and felt Oliver was at least five or six years younger.
"What are you doing?" Fiona got out of the car and snapped with a frown, "I called you out for a meal, not for you to fight!"
Oliver's face turned red with anger. He let go of Wyatt's collar.
Wyatt didn't react much. He just patted his collar lightly and walked straight into the restaurant.
Fiona pulled at Oliver and asked, "Didn't you bring anyone else?"
"Of course, I wouldn't dare! Just my wife and kids with me!" Oliver said.
"How smart of you to bring your kids to soften Wyatt's heart." Fiona gave him a thumbs up.
