Chapter 829 Big Sister
Later, Stella confronted her sister and got this answer…
"Your mom was the third party in my parents' marriage. My mom suffered day and night because of you and your mother. Why can't I seek revenge?"
"Do you know how rich that man is? As long as you sleep with him for one night, I can get a contract worth thirty million euros. You ruined my good opportunity!"
"Do you think I would watch you marry Preston? Although the Beaumont family may be low-key, but they are a great support. I won't let you have such a backing!"
"As for Wyatt... do you think he would still want a dirty woman like you who is involved with other men?"
"Yes, I hate you. I wish you a lifetime of lowliness!"
Stella was too young at that time.
Coupled with her illegitimate status, she was inherently insecure.
Faced with these words from her beloved big sister, her first thought was…
"I’m sorry. I didn’t know my existence caused you so much pain. I won’t come home again, nor will I marry Preston or compete with you for anything."
That's right, Stella was hurt.
She was almost tarnished, but she was the one apologizing.
It took her many years after she grew up that she realized she wasn’t at fault.
But she still couldn't bring herself to face her family again.
"Alright."
Fiona sensed Stella's sadness.
She stepped forward and gently hugged Stella. "You have Alexander now. I can see how much he likes you, and he really stands up for you."
Mentioning Alexander, Stella seemed to relax immediately.
"Shall I tell you another little secret?" she said mysteriously.
Fiona laughed, "Why do you have so many secrets like Chicago?"
Stella giggled and then said to Fiona, "Actually, Alexander used to be a priest."
Fiona fell silent for a moment and then honestly asked, "Well, I must admit, I've been curious about why he returned to society?"
"Me," Stella proudly replied.
Fiona raised an eyebrow.
"So where has he been all these years?"
"He always knew I hadn’t completely broken off with Wyatt. Alexander is a good man and naturally wouldn't come looking for me." Stella answered, "If it weren't for this chance encounter on the ferry, we might have really missed each other."
A chance encounter?
Fiona doubted in her mind.
Was it really just a coincidence?
"But, appearing at that time is just right. Back then, I only had eyes for Wyatt, and couldn't see anyone else. If it was any later..." Stella's voice trailed off.
Fiona looked at her, "You wouldn't..."
"I certainly wouldn't commit suicide, but who can say for sure what unexpected events the future holds?" Stella stretched and changed the subject abruptly, "By the way, what's up with Darwin? He’s so polite now, it’s like he’s a different person!"
Stella didn’t know that Darwin had lost his memory.
Previously, she had been happy before because Darwin had made a complete turnaround in his attitude towards her, but now, she was starting to feel a bit uneasy.
"He doesn't remember the past." Fiona answered frankly, "Of course, he doesn't remember those things that made you angry with him."
Stella covered her mouth in surprise.
She looked at Darwin, who was being treated by Preston.
Darwin's attention was always on Fiona.
When the two looked over, his expression became blank.
Stella quickly looked away, "I admit, I think it's good that he has amnesia. People can change for the better!"
Fiona couldn't help but laugh, "Are you feeling better now?"
Stella looked at Fiona, grateful, "I'm feeling better!"
"Right now, nothing is more important now than your wedding. Everything else can be put aside." Fiona continued.
"Okay!" Stella nodded firmly.
Fiona then returned to Darwin's side.
Seeing her approaching, Preston sighed, "Mr. Solomon really had a close call this time."
Fiona's heart immediately tensed, "Is he in serious trouble?"
"He survived, so he's out of danger." Preston withdrew his hand, "But he has some major blockages in his blood vessels that are still quite severe."
As he spoke, Preston hesitated for a moment and tapped his head.
"Is there a problem here?"
"Memory loss," Fiona replied.
"That explains it." Preston nodded, "After the wedding, I'll invite some elders from the family to come and examine Mr. Solomon."
"Thank you for that." Fiona was appreciative.
Preston waved his hand, "Considering you’re the only ones around Wyatt who support Stella, our family is happy to help!"
Around the same time, in a luxurious hotel, the White family, including Stella's father, were dining in the restaurant.
Alexander had arranged everything very well.
The dishes were plentiful and catered to everyone’s tastes.
"Dad, Stella knows we're here, but she doesn't come to see us." Henry White, who had no intention of coming in the first place, complained.
He didn't know what the Beaumont family had said on their side, but their father had forced everyone to come.
"I heard they’re entertaining the Darwin couple, so naturally they’re too busy for us." Frederick White snorted.
These two young masters looked like spoiled children.
The woman sitting next to Adam White, with slightly curly hair and a dignified appearance, bore a faint resemblance to Stella.
She was Stella's older sister, Rebecca White.
"As a brother attending his sister’s wedding, what’s with all the complaints?" Rebecca spoke up, "If you want to see your sister, you'll see her on the day of the wedding."
Adam nodded in satisfaction.
However, Frederick sneered, "Rebecca, you've always pampered Stella since she was young, always thinking for her. But has she ever come to see you in the past ten years? When you were sick and hospitalized, did she even ask about you? And yet you still speak up for her?"
"Enough!" Adam got angry and slammed the table, "If it weren't for you two idiots causing the family business to decline year by year, we wouldn't have to rely on others and come here."
Adam lost his temper. His anger silenced the two playboys, who, despite their dissatisfaction, dared not speak up and just grumbled while picking at their food
"Dad, take it easy, or your blood pressure will go up again." Rebecca served some food for Adam, "Besides attending my sister’s wedding, we can also make some new friends. It’s not a bad thing."
"Right!" Henry quickly added, "Stella has a good relationship with the Solomon family couple, right? If we want to expand back to Armie, connecting with the Solomon family will definitely bring us twice the result with half the effort!"
Rebecca lowered her gaze slightly, hiding her frustration.
How could Stella, who was getting worse by the day and had such a bad reputation, end up in a position where they had to rely on her for connections?
